Bad Throwout Bearing? I have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee
T.O. bearings usually do not make any contact when your foot is off the clutch pedal.
So it does not sound like a T.O. bearing.
But if it were an intake manifold leak, then it would idle badly.
You should be able to find it.
Listen through a piece of rubber hose, that you move around as a probe.
But if it changes when shifting, it is not likely an intake leak.
If it goes away when the clutch is pushed in, then it is likely the transmission input bearing.
If it is loudest when the clutch is pushed it, it could be the T.O. bearing, or the input shaft pilot bushing in the end of the crankshaft.

1994 JEEP LOSES POWER, ALTHOUGH ENGINE KEEPS
Welcome to Fixya
Is the battery holding charge? Check the cables on the battery/fusebox to make sure they are not loose. Also check your Alternator. Your car runs off the alternator when its running, only uses Battery when its off. Accessories also run off the battery when your driving (dvd/cd players, speakers, amps) all of this drains the batt and the alternator recharges it. I'd check for a
loose connection first, then test the Battery and Alt. If you have a
sound system I would definitely investigate that.

It does not start
Does
your check engine light illuminate on the dash, when you turn the
ignition on, right before cranking? If it does not light up, then the main ecu might be in need of
repair.

1994 jeep smoke
Worn valve guide seal could be the problem at start up. A good STM can replace the guides for $20.00 in parts and three hours labor.
If the engine smokes continuously, the rings might be worn. This would be a major repair situation.

I have a problem that
check the power distribution box, located under the hood, on the drivers side, check the fuses and relays , to see if any are blown or defective.

94 jeep wont start after
Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Have you replaced the coil pack? The coil pack supplies current to the plugs. If the coil pack is faulty it tends not to give current to the plugs. One good reason why it won't run most of the time. I strongly suggest that you replace the coil pack and observe how it goes.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Hand brake not working moves up and down and does
You may have the brakes out of adjustment or a broken ebrake cable, the first thing is to go under the truck and have someone apply the e-brake and see if both rear cables are pulling. im not sure if you have drum or disc in the rear of this jeep but they both use cables, if the cables are working then you will need to remove the wheels and check the brakes, the brakes may be worn or out of adjustment.hope this helps.

Hi i was after the process for replaceing rear
You need to remove the tire and brake drum. After doing that, remove the cover from the differential and remove the roll pin or bolt that retains the cross shaft in the spider gears. slide the cross shaft out then push the axle in and remove the C retainer on the axle end. The axle can then be removed. Use a bearing puller to remove the bearing, then remove the seal. Reverse process to install.
Be careful if turning the gear set after the pin has been removed. If you turn it and don't pay attention, the spider gears can fall out.
