The vsc, trac off lights came on because there is a drivability problem which is why the engine light came on. Hook up a scanner and find out why the engine light came on and fix it and the other lights should go out.

The windshield on my 2006 Scion XB has cracked

A small chip can turn into a crack during sudden changes in temperature extremes. You take the tip of a pen and follow the line of the crack and wherever it stops in the chip area it started from. Glass will be a little more forgiving of a small pebble etc. impact when at least 2 or 3 inches from the edges of glass where it is more rigid since that is where the windshield is bonded to the body.

What's the break bleeding sequence for a 2006 scion xb? I was told left front, rear right, right front, left rear, like a cross pattern. Is this true?

I believe the bleeding pattern for any vehicle is furthest from the master cylinder first and so on the xb it would be rear pass 1st, rear driver 2nd, front pass. 3rd, and front driver last.

2006 Scion Xb - The battery light came on and all the lights slowly got dimmer until the car stalled - Any suggestions

How old is the battery? Most batteries, are good for about 5 years. If you get a battery from Walmart, that is not the wisest choice, they are second-hand / bottom of the barrel type batteries at Walmart and Kmart. Get a reputable brand like from Napa. That's where I would start. Check your doors, make sure there is nothing keeping a door open and your dome light on.

My 2006 Scion xB ran very hot til it died. Had it towed home. Now it will crank but will not start. Anyone know what I done and how I can possibly fix it?

What has most likely happened, is the piston rings have either gone soft from being overheated or the bores have been scored, due to the expansion of components when overheated...

Start by carrying out a full compression test, with a good screw in gauge, screws into spark plug thread....

Remote starter only allows my starter to turn over twice; needs at least 3 with my key. How to adjust to have it starter run longer on remote?

I know you are looking to have the remote starter run a third time but I would say you need to look at your Fuel Pressure Regulator on the Scion. Sounds like it is not holding fuel pressure at the fuel rail and that is why it requires a third Crank

Starter doesn't run long enough for my car to start. It only turns twice; I need at least three rev's. How do I adjust starter run time?

The starter run time is non adjustable. It should turn over as long as you hold the key in the start position

Can I adjust slipping clutch on 2006 Scion XB?

You can't adjust a slippage on a clutch system. Probably need a new clutch assembly. The system is hydraulically driven and doesn't need adjustment.

Where is the fuse for the radio on a 2006 Scion XB

Inside the cabin on the driver side there is a small plastic cover next to the hood release. Pull that cover off and it is the 3rd or 4th fuse down on the far left. It should be a 15amp fuse.

Electric Golf cart only shutters and inches forward

so many possibilities...

does it roll fairly freely? (checking to see if the brakes or rearend seized up)

Are there any "bad" sounds like things grinding? (Connection between Motor and rearend, axle splines...)

If all that is solid, it is likely in the controller.... (it takes a solid charge right... No bad batteries in there or loose connection? might want to check all the battery connections to make sure none are burnt...)

1997.. does it have the electonic speed control by that year? the other possibilty is that the accelerator is not working corectly. they used a resistor system on old ones that has contactors that would get worn out.... Newer ones control a potentiometer(sp) that controlled the speed.

Only a few real components to check, but if you are not mechanically and electically inclined, could be tough to isolate.

peace,

My 2006 scion xb vsc, traction, and check engine

I had the same problem. The cause (at least on my box) was a bad charcoal canister and the valve going to it. These go bad on the boxes fairly often. If you "top off" your tank, the overflow spills down into the charcoal canister and it will not function properly. IE: Engine, Trac, and VSC lights come on. It doesnt hurt it to drive with a bad canister, but you will lose mileage and that light will be staring you in the face every time you drive. The parts are pricey, dealer only parts and the canister is about $400. I found a totalled xb with a good canister and nabbed it for $40.....solved my problem. Hope this helps!
