1995 LR Disco 1 - Te drivers door requires ALLOT

Try spraying into the latch with a lubricant like WD-40. Also spray a little into the key hole itself. Don't be shy when you do the latch and move the nozzle around to reach different areas in the latch. Hope this helps.

Hi, i have a door lock problem with a landrover

It sounds like you have a problem with one of the door or bonnet switches. It acts that way when it thinks there is a door or the bonnet is open. Check all the switches for good contact.

Iv got a disco 1.And when im towing and need more

Hi,
Are you getting a lot of black smoke?
If so your egr is more than likely goosed.
Easy fix in a 300.
Mine suffered from this a few years ago and I blanked off the egr. You can make a blank yourself or buy one with instructions for a few quid of eBay.
Well worth it and you will certainly notice the difference.
hope this helps.

Vibration in steering wheel when a bump or other

You probably have a worn tie-rod. Jack one side of the car up at a time so that one front wheel is off the ground. Grab the wheel and try to turn it back and forth. You should not feel any play. When you find a wheel with play, reach around the wheel with one hand and grab the inner tie rod and hold it still while pushing and pulling on the wheel. If the play goes away, replace the inner tie rod end. If it does not go away, replace the outer tie rod end.

Engine wont start

Your starter draws more amperage than nearly anything else in the car...Don't assume that the battery is charged unless you test it with a voltmeter. It must have at least 12v and not drop below 9.5 volts under a 200amp load. If battery tests good, check the connections to make sure that the terminals and cable contacts are clean and secure. If good, make sure that engine and starter ends of cables are also good. If clicking is coming from the starter, then it's likely that the solenoid is bad...Best to change as starter and solenoid together because brushes inside starter are usually found to be worn out just about when solenoid fails. Don't change the starter 'till other testing has been done. Some systems use another fender or firewall mounted relay. If that is making the click, change that first.

No spark from coil

if you have an imobiliser fitted check it is working, some of them allow engine to turn but disable ignition circuit.
next step is to get someone to try to start it in the dark while you watch-often can be a short on the top of the coil to one of the LT terminals.
hope this helps
