CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.6 VOLTS. IF BATTERY CABLES TIGHT AND BATTERY CABLES AND BATTERY POST CLEAN FREE FROM CORROSION. STARTER COULD BE BAD.TAP STARTER SEE IF IT CRANKS. IF NO REMOVE STARTER HAVE IT BENCH TEST. TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE DISCONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLES TO KEEP FROM LOSING RADIO CODE.

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code
First remove the radio from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

i think its the imobiliser behind the stereo

well if fuel down the carb starts it it means it isnt getting fuel,, lets check that,,

1.) locate and remove the hose connecting to your fuel filer , place it in a jar ,,
2.) turn on the ignition, you should see fuel pump out the tank into the jar,, if not,,

1.) check fuel pump fuse, its under the hood in the fuse box,
2.) change fuel pump if fuse is good.

Will vehicle start when you run a jumper to the fuel pump?

You may have a bad clutch disc or pressure plate. You may have a bad transmission. Have you checked the master cylinder? I guess it may be a release bearing. Has this been going on ever since you changed to a 5 speed?

The red light means the Immobiliser has not been turned off, the deactivator in the key must not be working correctly, visit your local land rover dealer who will be able to make sure the key is paired to the car correctly, otherwise you may need a new key.

Either the fuse has blown, or your dimmer switch has malfunctioned.

it is replaceable by a trained alternator repair person,,, find in your area a alternator shop and drop it off there and in about a day or two they will have it fixed for you. the cost of this will be about 65 to 85 dollars,, it would be a good idea to ask them the price before they do the work because a new alternator will only be around 95 to 120 dollars and it will come with a 3 year or more warranty, ( just a thought ).

It's built into the alternator.

There has to be a leak if the fluid was empty it may be inside the wheels or a bad master cylinder, you will need to have the brakes bleed know but theres got to be a leak somewhere,pull the wheel and check for leaks, and then check the lines to all wheels from the master.

replace ignition coil, spark plugs, also double chek your coolant temperature must be normal. overheating causes car slows down and engine cant handle excessive high temperature or may damage it.

Perhaps you have flooded the engine i guarantee if you flood it it will not start remove your spark plugs if wet replace them and it probably will start.

Sound like and alternator to me.
Have the alternator checked some where else.
