2003 Kia Sedona - Page 9 Questions & Answers
Why is there emisions of unburned gas coming from my Kia Sedona 2003?
you will have to check the ignition system, plugs, wires, fuel injector not working properly, leaking or on time is too long allowing too much fuel into the cylinder, computer sees the temperature as colder than it really is allowing more fuel to be injected into the cylinder, dirty valves. you don`t say if the reading is HC or CO as HC is raw fuel not burnt and CO is incomplete combustion like a miss fire or not burning all the fuel in the cylinder.

Why did my harmonic balance melt and fall off
The same thing happened to me. The rubber separating the metal parts dries out and breaks. When this happens the balancer spins causing friction. A new balancer will probably last for the rest of the vehicle life.
How often should spark plug wires be changed 2003 kia optima?
Spark plug wires are usually recommended to be changed between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. However, good quality wires will often last a lot longer and lifespan may be stretched. You should definitely replace them if you're experiencing ignition issues and they have approached their replacement interval.

AIR CONDITIONER QUIT WORKING
Pop the hood, start the vehicle and turn the AC on. Watch the compressor, it should have a center that rotates on an off and you should hear a clicking sound. This is the compressor clutch you are looking at. If the compressor is not doing this, check the fuses for the AC. If the fuses are good, then most likely the high side sensor switch is not working, therefore the clutch never engages and the air never gets cold.
Try that and get back to me, ok?
