Hyundai wiper arm not working

A quick fix is to first put the wiper arm into the correct position then drill downward through the wiper arm and into the wiper pivot.Don't drill all the way through the whole assembly, just 3/4 through the whole thing. Then break off the drill in the drilled hole. The hardened steel drill will run the wiper arm on the pivot.Dab a little sealant on the drilled hole/drill bit and run the wiper with no problem next time it rains..

Cd player Problem

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus I know a website that has very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime. www.reliable-store.com

Hi all, i use a Hyundai sonata 2003. My problem..

Assuming you are in the US, pull the dash, and send it to the experts in Mass. (We just did it with my new '96 Honda Odyssey.) They test every connection, for about $200, and return you a Fixed everything on your dash. No clue the name of the company, but anyone conversant with the Internet can find them. Good Luck!

I put a new battery in my hyundai sonata and now

Did this occur straight after changing out the battery, or after sitting with the new battery installed?

Have you checked the new batteries voltage and voltage under load, eg. (Voltage when headlights are on) could be a flat new battery.

Or could be load on the battery after key is turned off, something draining the battery overnight like a boot or interior light, radio left on ect.

Unlikely a short, or you would be in a world of burnt wires from the battery cables.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Sonata that just dies when i'm driving

Not the battery. Once the car is started, a bad battery will not cause it to stop running all of a sudden. For engine to run you need - compression, air, fuel, spark. Might want to check out your ignition coil for an intermittent condition - try replacing it. And if it does not turn over(crank) check the wiring going to the starter motor, solenoid, for good connectivity. And make sure that your fuel pump is always getting power and pumping.

How to replace motor mounts on 2003 hyundai sonata

You really need the car on a lift or tall jack stands to do this. You will need a full set of hand tools, a good hydraulic floor jack, a set of Jack stands (AKA Safety Stands) and a 1.5 Ton bottle jack. Raise the front of the car as high as possible and unbolt the old mounts from the engine and engine cradle, then Carefully using the bottle jack (put a piece of wood on the plunger of the jack to avoid damage to the oil pan) raise the engine off the mounts and remove them, and reverse install new mounts, time about 2-3 hours to do the repair.

Where is the shift lock release located? I cannot find it.

Probably needs cleaned. You have to pull the shifter to do it. When you put it back together, leave the console part off. It could be a bad solenoid in the shifter.

I can't fill up with gas. Even when near empty, it shuts off the flow off gas. Makes as "burping noise" then lets me add another gallon or 2 and repeats. Help!

This is a common problem with many vehicles. The filler neck has an anti-siphon flapper in it that prevents siphoning the fuel. This also restricts air flow around the nozzle when filling. There is a vent tube, but it often isn't large enough to purge the air out of the tank as fast as the fuel is running in. There are two ways to alleviate this issue. First is to reduce the rate you fill the tank to allow more time for the air to purge. Another way is to pull the fuel nozzle back slightly from the vehicle to allow more room for air to escape around it. Ensure that the nozzle is still past the anti-siphoning flap however, or you may get fuel splashing back.
