The oil pressure light goes on and off intermittently.

I had a similar problem with my 2003 Sante Fe (intermittant problem, the light went off when I accelerated). I took it to the dealership. They looked for a bad send oil switch (not the problem) as well as some other possible culprits but could not, at first, find what was causing the light to come on (but they did confirm that I had low oil pressure). So, they took the engine apart. What it was was the pan was "dented" upwards, so that less oil was able to come in. It wasn't the bearings. It wasn't the crank case. It wasn't the oil pump. So, they fixed the dent, put everthing back together and . . .it worked! The light went off and stayed off. It cost $337 in labor. I was very very very relieved.

(Apologies if this explanation is hard to follow-I'm no mechanic and am basing my response on my understanding of the mechanic's explanation).

What to do whem my low oil pressure light comes on

Welcome to Fixya

Hi you might need to chcek first if you have enough oil in your cars engine. Use the dipstick to check the oil level. Put oil if the level is low. Is same thing will happen then replace the sending unit this migh be defective that is why the car is giving incorrect reading.

Excel 6.0 started fine and after about 3 mins the engine sputtered and it lost its pressure. IT work fine for those first 3 mins

Sounds like the fuel pump is failing. I would check the fuel pressure to make sure it is within specs, call dealer or parts supplier for specifically for your vehicle, for example some vehicles require 45-56 psi. If it falls below threshold, the pump is faulty and needs to be replaced. I hope this helps you get going :o) Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV)

I have been told by

Have the vehicle scanned by a reputable shop right away. Driving the car the way you are WILL cause the transmission to fail and you will need to have it rebuilt. A good shop will have a scanner that will check for any trouble on the transmissions sensors. If all that checks out, you will need to have the unit rebuilt.

Hi My Hyundai Getz is having

Start with a tune up. When you go to start it do you go from off right to cranking it over? If so try turning the key just untill the dash lights come on and wait a couple seconds before cranking it over. If this works you could have a weak fuel pump or just a dirty fuel filter.

Sounds like a problem with the fuel line. Replace your fuel filter. If that doesnt work, bring to a shop. They can check your fuel line including the fuel pump.

Water leaking into boot

Look at the seal closely. If you see where it comes threw. I cut there with a razor blade and fill the inside with cotton. Then silicone the cut. Let it set an hour before closing the boot. If you have a brake light mounted in the boot. This is usually where a lot of water will come in. I silicone them in also. Spoiler on the boot, I remove them and silicone them down.

Where do I find the relay for the window washer pump on a 1998 Hyundai Excel

Not sure if a relatively low power consumption item would actually require a relay??? But I could be wrong. Aren't the fuses/relays in a housing under the bonnet/hood. If so it should have a diagram as to which relay/fuse applies to which circuit. Could also be under a cover in passenger or driver footwell under the dash. Sorry if not helpful I'm not totally au fait with this model. Good luck though
