2000 Daewoo Nubira - Page 4 Questions & Answers
2000 daewoo nubira low oil pressure and no oil pressure sometimes
There are only two valid reasons for low oil pressure...bad bearings on crankshaft or obstructed oil pickup screen for pump...pump can be damaged by debris or hard carbon from either source but generally will not fail on it's own.
You may not be happy to hear this answer, but that's how it works on every engine, not just yours!!!
Good luck with it
Getting gas but still will not started
General advice:track down the problem:Spark condition.Sprkplug/plugs/wirings.Ignition coil.Best guess:ceck timing before u get into real bad condition (bended/broken valves).
Head bolts
You should really go get a manual for torquing head bolts. Not only to you have to torque them correctly, but there is a pattern as to which bolts you tighten so that you don't warp the head.
All 4 windows stopped workin at the same time
It's possible that the wires to the driver's door window controls have somehow become disconected, or maybe one of the switches for the windows in the driver's door is not working. First tke the interior panel off of the driver's door, a shop manual should tell you how to remove the interior panel, depending on the style of door it can be a small job or an expensive endevor. If you do get the panel off look at the underside of where the window switches are at and see if the wires and wire harneses are all secure and there are no loose wire conectors or wires. If there are any loose or disconnected reconnect them and try the windows before putting the door back together. You may need to start the car to make sure that there is power to the switches. If the connectors are fine and the windows still don't work, unhook the wires to the switches one at a time (the wires should be connected to the switch through a conector that can easily be unplugged and plugged in again) and test each switch with an electrical tester to see if one is bad. You may have to play with different settings on your tester, but one should be able to work. Replace the switch if one is bad, and again try the windows before putting your door back together. Hope this is helpful.
How to use radio controls after code set
if you have the code (you say you do) turn radio on, push the code, radio should come on automatically (here is my code it will work on yours 2145) so 1 turn radio on. err code will show dont worry about it. 2. punch in 4 digit code.3. complete code will flash 3 times. 4. radio will be fully functional, use as normal. if you enter code wrong an Err will display for a few sec. COde will then display. repeat procedure 1-3.
What is power button on
That button is the Overdrive button. That is what give better fuel economy on the freeway. it is always on so if you push the button it turns it off giving you lower gears that in turn gives more low end power and ecceleration. I hope this helps. If it does please rate :)
P0446 daewoo
That's an OBD- II trouble code.
Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction...
Possible solutions to fix this problem would include..
Replace vent valve.
Repair open, short, or resistance problem in control circuit.
Repair open, short, or resistance
problem in power circuit.
Replace PCM.
I hope this helps.
Cylinder misfire p0304
P0304 in most cases for cylinder # 4. There are usually 4 reasons that this codes sets. Inmost cases the cause is a faulty fuel injector, a faulty spark plug, a faulty spark plug wire and a faulty coil. I start on the easiest stuff like checking the spark plug and wire. If you can check to make sure you are getting good spark through the cable. If not using an ohm meter check the resistance of the cable/wire. If they are OEM wires the should be above 30,000 ohms. You can also check all the other wires and if there is a big difference in the # 4 wire, then you have a bad cable/wire. If you are getting bad spark and the cable is then most likely the coil is bad. next you will want to chek the injector for that cylinder. This is more detailed but have found it to be the most common cause of P0304. If the vehicle is running poorly, while the engine is running you cab disconnect the injector for that cylinder. If there is no real noticeable change then most likely it does have to do with an injector fault but that doesn't always mean that you have a faulty injector cause there are many other factors that can cause this other than the injector itself and this test isn't the most reliable. You will need some testing equipment in order to fully diagnose this test and/or the injector. I'll be happy to help with those tests but it is quite detailed and to much to write on here. If you are in need of these tests, feel free to email me directly at
[email protected] and I'll be happy to email them to you. You will at least need a test light and if possible an injector test light but are able to do without that. If you don't have that noticeable change when unplgging that injector connector, you can start by making sure you have power to that injector. the way your system works is that each injector has constant power at the injector through the pink wire while the ignition is on. The vehicles computer (PCM) gets readings from other sensors and it's supposed to send a negative "pulse" through the other wire (the solid black wire, the light orange wire with a black stripe, and the pink and light blue wire both also having a black stripe). This "pulse" completes the circuit and turns that injector on which in turn sprays out gas at that point. So check for power at that injector as well. As you amy have guessed. I've done this before so I hope I've been able to help and good luck.
Loses the power and starts stalling
The IAC valve requires resetting .
First locate the IAC valve located on the side of the throttle body and has 4 wires going to it .Procedure is as follows
Ignition key on ,unplug the IAC ,turn key off ,reconnect the IAC .do this 3-4 times .restart the car and hold the rpm at 2000 rpm and slowly lower until it idles by it self .
