How To Change Oil and Oil Filter on Range Rover Sport or Land Rover LR3

• Place an oil drain pan below the oil filter and drain plug and unscrew the oil filter.
• Lubricate the rubber seal with clean oil and install the new filter. Tighten to 13 foot-pound torque.
• Remove drain plug in the oil pan and drain the oil. Catch the oil in the drain pan. After draining the oil install and tighten the drain plug to 18 foot-pound torque.
• Fill engine with 5W-30 weight oil. The 4.4 V8 takes 8 quarts; the 4.0 V6 takes 6 quarts. Start engine and check for leaks.
• Recheck level and top up as necessary.
• Reinstall the under engine shields / skid plates.

depends on your mileage since its an older vehicle i would would 20/50 synthetic esp if you in the warmer areas

The manual has lots of warnings: Like: After re-connecting the battery, the steering wheel must be turned to full left-hand and right-hand lock (with engine running). This allows the DSC system to relearn the steering wheel position. Failure to do so will result in a variety of instrument warning lights being illuminated. Then after you replaced the battery (battery being empty is the same for the electronics) it says: Prior to carrying out any procedures which involve disconnecting/connecting the battery, refer to the Electrical Section of this manual - Battery disconnection/connection. For additional information, refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Specifications). and : A discharged battery condition may have been caused by an electrical short circuit. If this condition exists there will be an apparently live circuit on the vehicle even when all normal circuits are switched off. This can cause arcing when the jumper cables are connected. then tis part: It is advisable not to use starter/charger sets for jump starting but if this is unavoidable, make sure that the sets are not used in the 'START' mode.

• ? Always make sure that the jumper cables are adequate for the task.
• ? Always make sure that the slave battery is of the same voltage (12 volts) as the vehicle battery. The batteries must be connected in parallel.
• ? Make sure that the battery terminals of both batteries are fully tightened.
• ? Where another vehicle is used to jump start a disabled vehicle, make sure that the two vehicles are not touching.
• ? It is advisable that the engine of the donor vehicle is switched off during jump starting; take care to make sure that the battery of the donor vehicle does not also become discharged.
• ? Always make sure that switchable electric circuits are OFF before connecting jump cables. This reduces the risk of arcing occurring when the final connection is made. Following jump starting of a disabled vehicle, the discharged battery must be checked for serviceability and recharged as soon as possible to avoid permanent damage. Do not rely on the generator to restore a discharged battery. For a generator to recharge a battery, it would take in excess of eight hours continuous driving with no additional loads placed on the battery. Trickle charging (defined as voltages <16 volts) may be carried out with the battery connected. Make sure that the battery terminals are fully tightened prior to trickle charging

It would be to much to put the complete manual here, because I think you would not be able to solve this problem. The manual (this is the 2007 one) is almost 80 MB and has over 3000 pages. Too much to post here. Sorry.

Sounds like the heating element is bad.

Use the station buttons.

Use a bottle of yellow HEET dry gas / fuel dryer to remove moisture in your fuel tank. Use starting fluid to aid starting.

I am not familiar with this specific vehicle. Open hood while engine is running and see where this steam is coming from. If from around the new water pump I would say bad installation. If it's coming from another area, see if bad hose, replace, or possible head gasket, repair soon, it could be as simple as a hose clamp that needs to be tightened. Only you can see this. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Disconnect the battery both leads and join them together for half hour then see what happens if they still dont work then iam afraid you have had brown out in the system and this will have damaged the speedo unit electronics which are on the back of the speedo ,it has a mini computer on the back in fact and its expensive

Before spending big money, get a multi-meter (under $14 and no vehicle should be without one) and test the voltage across the battery terminals. It should be 12.4 or higher. If it isn't, get a new battery. If the voltage is OK, remove and abrade the battery terminals then make sure they are TIGHT when reconnecting them. You should now have lights and hopefully ignition also.
