Where does this car get its pulse for the fuel injector
Hi Javaholic, I think a vehicle of the age indicated will be fitted with a distributer and that is where the signal will be generated for the injection. Remove the cover and inside you should see two pick ups. One will be for ignition and the other for injection. Regards John

if the oil is leaking onto the exhaust pipe this will cause smoke as the exhaust pipe gets very hot & burns the oil, you will need to find out just where the oil is leaking from & repair the leak by replacing the gasket or whatever is causing the leak.....hope this helps......cheers.

There is no dipstick on these transmissions and refilling must be done from beneath the vehicle on the side of the transmission.
You will need to remove the pan to drain the fluid.
In any event if you have one of these cars I suggest you join one of the Porsche 928 forums where you will get a wealth of helpful information as, I assume you know, these cars are very expensive to maintain properly.
Here is a useful link and covers the transmission fluid. I would not attempt this unless the car was on a hoist.

Firat thing you do see if the wire going to the headlight has 12volts. If there is 12volts then make sure the head light is not burtn out. Also check the condition of the plug to see if it is corroded.

Sounds like a fault in the ignition switch, or ( if the car is auto) the lock out on the shifter.
First try wiggling the shifter . Else.
Providing that the ignition lights are coming on.
Wait for the fault to appear then hot wire the starter .
Take a wire from the small terminal on the starter to a positive power feed.
If the car starts, check starter relays, fuses, connections ( under footwell on the right side RHD cars) , make sure the connections are good on the starter. If all these things OK, then the actual ignition switch is most likely faulty.
No fuel
There are two fuel pumps , one in the tank and one underneath the tank , first check that both are working.
There is a pressure vessel ( That I can't remember the proper name for ) at the front of the right rear inner guard.
These are a common problem, we managed to make one from an Audi fit ( with modified fittings ) .
The one I had problems with had been left sitting for some time.
