Automatic choke problems

Yes, spring may have broken or maybe it just needs adjustment. There is a high idle cam that makes the card idle higher when the choke is closed or partly closed.

911SC 1982 transmission will not shift into 1st or 4th gear

Your Synchro is worn, time to replace all of them, just take it to a transmission shop. The part is quite expensive but the new ones should last longer than the original factory part. I had a 82 Turbo n mind as well replaced them all since both 1st n 4th already worn.

82 porsche 911 motor # *6291494

I have been having trouble getting information but one thing I have found out is that the number is 62C1494. So if that helps anyone. I went on line to Porsche engine numbers and that is where I found that in a forum section but nothing more detailed than that

My driver side window fell down & the electric switch won't raise it.l

If the switch is broken, you can put the switch down, short circuit closed first, if is bad, there is no way to the machine. Had better find a repair shop.car key programmer

What should the druck press read at 60 miles per

Hello there
It all depends what is the temperature of the oil ,what gear are you in?
Ususally when you start the Porsche it should read higher because the oil is thicker. After the engine warms up the reading will go down.
At idle you can see almost no press, which is normal(warm engine).
From the Porsche technical book:
"Oil pressure at90oC oil temperature and speed of 5000 rpm -- bar---approx.5,0"

Need to know the amps of the fuses on a 1982

Go to http://www.alldatadiy.com/ for all the information you need if you do not have the paper or fuse designation listing on the fuse block cover or hand book..

Due to copy write law, posting schematics and lists from manufactures on a public forum is not allowed.

Try a local shop who may look this up on their data base for you. Look here for one near you: http://www.iatn.net/shopfinder/
