Just back from Ford Lincoln
I have the same car & all the factory manuals
Your going to have to be more specific on the
name of the part
Dual Coolant Control Valve -- not part of the A/C
but does fail eventually
You can see it down a little under the A/C
Receiver Drier
It has 3 spring hoses clamps & 1 screw holding
it on
The problem ---you can't get your hands in there
I watched a tech at a lincoln dealer doing one
Didn't look easy
Fan was running fast and leaking antifreeze in my
Sounds like you have another hole somewhere. The cheaper part would be the lower radiator hose, but any hose like a heater return hose can leak. The proper way to test can be one of two methods. The pressure tester, which may be borrowed from places like Autozone, Oreilys, or Advance is similar to a bicycle pump. There are fittings used to test the cap or the Radiator. What is good about this method is that it can be used on a cold engine. In conjuction with this test or as a stand alone test is a chemical dye test. The chemical is added to the Radiator and after the water is circulated an Ultraviolet pen light is shined on the engine and Radiator. With enclosed Yellow glasses(in some kits) the light is shined on the leak and the glowing dye will help you spot the leak. You should NOT pressurize the system with the pressure tester BEYOND Factory limits. Most of the time the Pressure rating is on the Radiator cap. If there is just a loose hose clamp, use an adjustable clamp which can be opened and then reconnected once it is around the hose. This way you will not need to remove either end of the hose to slip on the new clamp. The old clamp can be slide up out of the way and remain on anyplace on the hose.
My actuator is bad and my a/c won't blow cold air
I thinl we answered this alreadyI have the same car 2004 L/S& just did an HAVC Vent Motor Assyunder the dashThere are 5 under thereYou figure out which feature doesn'tdirect air flow to the correct place usingthe dash button,if you have no professionalscan tool then you go to Motorcraft Web site& look up the part, blow up the diagram of whereit goes & write down to part #Then you buy it from Amazon for around $36.00Some are easy to get to,mine was the worst & took acouple hours, actually I had more problem with the glovebox than the vent motor install
Water in the gas and Heet has not totally fixed
You never have to add any bottled product ,to any vehicle systemThose products are not a fix for anything,& very seldom do a thingHow would water get into your fuel tank & how do you know you even have water in there? What you should be telling us & asking,is what is wrong with the vehicle in some detail eg: you ask a question& provided no problem
I have a 2004 Lincoln ls and its needs a actuator
This is just a chat room,no one has anything to dowith the web siteNo one including a repair shop, inmy opinion will give you a priceI own the same car & replaced an HVAC Vent Motor a few months agoThe motor can be bought on Amazon fo $33.00To install it is not an easy job, depending on the one that failed. There are 5 on the carYou need a professional scan tool & go the enhanced modes, to look at the codes & findthe failed motor, or you will obviously know ifyou use the manual buttons which ducts do not switch.I wouldn't touch that job for less than 2 hours laborI have 49 years experience, but I'm retired & not a professional, probably know more than most
