The seat track you need will have to either need power or be aligned so you can reach its' mounting bolts too. You will be able to see how the gear drive is attached on the replacement seat track. You may be able to unbolt the gear drive from the track on your damaged part. Then the seat should slide either way without the drive gears stopping you from moving the seat. Sometimes there is only room for a air ratchet to fit as the bolt can spin without having to move the ratchet handle.

Being project car im guessing your going to paint. But look for what you want, settle for what you can get.
Id drive 200 miles to get the right color doors or fenders in case i have to drive it a while before the paint comes in. Ill never forget the time the cops were looking for my two tone chevy. Ok i just threw that in for street cred.

You are now looking at circuit tracing. Start at the brake light switch. Got power there? (get a circuit testing light, they're not expensive, looks like a screwdriver with a point instead of a blade, and a wire coming out the end) If power to the switch, then check at light with brake pedal pressed. Power there? likely bad ground at light. No power? wire from switch to lights broken.
