How do I close the moon roof on my 94 Lincoln mark
look in the glove box ... there should be a crooked allen (hex) wrench in there...
The switch plate should then be popped off and the allen wrench inserted into the crank hole and when you turn the wrench it will crank the roof glass shut...
How do I close the
Lost as in how?
You said the switch is broken. Replace it. Jump the correct terminals to close the roof!
When i, turn the air
Low coolant means your reservoir, not radiator. The computer can't tell how much coolant you have. The reservoir has a senor on the bottom which says it's low. This is a good way to tell you have a leak and as an engine cools it sucks more out of the reservoir each time. Foul smell from a/c would have nothing to do with it. A/c's just absorb odors and condensation stores it.
I have a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. It was
Carefully raise the engine RPM above 2000 and observe the Radiator hoses for collapse. Have your cap checked for holding pressure.
The electric fans usually are 2 speed units. Check with Autozone or Oreillys for the relays which switch to high speed. Some rely on a second temp sensor; you may have changed the dash gauge temp switch and not the fan speed temp switch.
Then if no success you need to get the Fan clutch checked with a timing light. The fan clutch is designed to lock at higher temps. It is suppose to slip in cold weather. A mechanic would take a timing light with a RPM scale and compare the crankshaft RPM with the fan RPM to see if the fan clutch is bad.
Will not go into gear,
you may have a blown brake light fuse. the car is made to not come out of park unless the brakes are applied. also may be blown brake light bulbs.let me know if this helps!!!
I have a dail blower
In that case either the switch or the relay are faulty. To test it is easy: just take it out of the dash and disconnect it: if the fan stops it's the switch, if not it's the relay. Replace the broken part.
Engine turns over, but will not start
Listen for the fuelpump when you first turn the key. It will run only 1 or 2 seconds and then cut off. If you do not hear it run, there is a switch in the trunk next to the Airride.
This is the Inertia switch and you need to push the button on it and hold it in for 1 or 2 seconds. Then turn your Ignition key and see if the fuelpump runs. It should start fine after this. The Inertia switch is a safety switch and sometimes can trip when a door or trunklid is slammed.
If your vehicle does not start, you still could have a Bad fuelpump relay which you will find in one of the Powerboxes under the hood. There are also Ignition relays for some models, again in a Powerbox. There are scanners which you can use to diagnose the problem.
The antitheft system can interfere with starting. As a last effort you can try to punch n the Doorcode and try to start the car within seconds of entering the code.
The a/c started working on and off. sometimes was
Hi. Try to check first your refrigerant. One cause of this problem is refrigerant is running low. Did this happened from the time you turn on the AC? or at first AC is cold then after driving for a certain period of time the AC will get warm?
Left hand rear viem mirror foggy. Need suggestions
On the inside of the door directly behind the mirror you will find a triangular plastic cover
gently pry the cover off the door, it is only held on with plastic push in clips
you will now see a few holes in the metal door frame
there will also be a multi wire plug for the electric mirror, seperate the plug
In the holes on the door there will be at least 3 bolt heads that you can see, remove those bolts and the mirror will come off as a unit
do not drop the bolts into the door as it will turn a minor job into a major in a few seconds.
do not try to replace the glass as you have to almost destroy the whole mirror to get it apart
just buy the complete unit and bolt it back on the door
Can a bad relay switch on air pump for suspension
Yes. Also check the ON/OFF switch in the trunk. Its next to the fuelpump cutoff. Look in your Owners manual for fuse location and type. If the circuit has more than 1 device on it and the other device is working the fuse is good.
Go to an Autozone or Oreillys or similar for a look at what you are wanting to replace. There is a Test outlet for the Air-ride which will easily diagnose the problem. Just call up Repair facilities or check with a Tool Rental place for the scanner. Sometimes Autozone or Oreillys will have the right scanner to loan.
Both Autozone and Oreillys test free. It can be a simple and fast fix with the right tools.
Fuel pump location
CHECK FUEL PUMP FUSE AND RELAY FIRST.SCAN FOR ANY PCM FAULT CODES IF ALL IS GOOD.YOUR FUEL PUMP IS IN FUEL TANK.BESURE TO TURN OFF AIR SUSPENSION SWITCH LOCATED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT.MUST BE TURNED OFF POSITION BEFORE RAISING THE VECHICLE.FAILURE TO DO SO WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO AIR SPRINGS.YOU NEED TO REPLACED DRIVE BELT FIRST YOU NEED DRIVE BELT TO TURN WATER PUMP.THAT WHY ENGINE OVERHEATED.NO POWER TO FUEL PUMP AND OTHER COMPONENTS BECAUSE DRIVE BELT ALSO DRIVES THE ALTERNATOR TO KEEP POWER SUPPLIED TO CAR BATTERY AND CAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.YOU NEED TO FIX BELT FIRST.OR NOTHING WORK.
My lincoln mk8 AC started cooling some times and
might be the same thing.. but maybe not
personally, it sounds like your IAT (intake air temp) sensor if your dash is displaying incorrect temperatures
If outside temp is less than 60 your a/c should not operate full time and if outside temp is less than 30 won't work at all
Where is the air suspension compressor relay
the height sensors work as relays. it lets the computer know when an air spring needs air. if one air spring needs air, but all the others are level, the air spring needs replacing. it means it's leaking.
