Is this a loud click or a quiet click? Is it a single click or lots of fast repeating clicks? A quiet single click is most likely the starter relay in the fuse box failing. A louder single click is related to the starter motor, the starter solenoid or related parts. A repeating, rapid clicking is usually a power supply issue. Is there any warning lights on the dashboard? Were you having any other issues before this happened? Try going back to basics. You may have already tried some of these. Check the battery is the correct one for your vehicle and is fully charged. A V8 engine takes a lot of effort to physically turn over and a weak or wrong battery will struggle to turn the engine over. Check all the connections on the battery are clean and secure. Check the other end of each battery cable is also clean and secure. A bad electrical connection can drain the battery so it doesn't have enough power for the starter. Apply the park brake and put the vehicle in Neutral. Try starting the vehicle. This disconnects the transmission making it easier for the engine to turn over. Does that make any difference? If plug is fouled, it is getting gas. Check for spark on #2. If spark is good, check compression.

if it is knocking in the bottom end , there is nothing that can be done to save it as it is already too late your statement that it is in gear as well as running is a bit confusing as if it is an engine problem it would be knocking in neutral as well as in gear but louder in gear and under load however if it only happens in gear then that means that the problem is transmission or drive line related

you first step is to check and see if you are getting power to the wiper moter jump it from the battery start from there also check all wiper fuse some have relays so they will shut down when motor over heat get a volt meter and test all plugs they very seldom go bad

Hey Tbs, You are correct in assuming it will get worse.. if you are leaking antifreeze, it wil not fix itself (DO NOT put any kind of "radiator stop leak" in it) .... take it to a qualified professional and tell them whast happening and let them repair it!! (a radiator shop - NOT the dealer)..

It has an AOD transmission.

Have you disconnected the battery to reset the computer? That would be my first step. If that doesn't work, go to an auto supply (Auto Zone) and have them check for codes. Ask them to clear the codes.

hook up a scanner check for codes, that will tell you if you have an engine problem or transmission problem, you can also check the trans fluid condition if its good, it will most likely be an engine drivability problem

Transmission may now be toast since you continued to drive it when maybe low on fluid or torque converter had failed. How long since last fluid and filter change? Ever?

Find source of power that is draining battery. Make sure no amps are flowing. Pull fuses to find the source until amps are in specs VAPE JUICE

Have you tried unlocking and locking the drivers door using the key. This will usually reset the alarm system

ADJUST AT THE TRANSMISSION. ALSO OBSWERVE THE BUSHINGS ON SHIFT LINKAGE AT THE TRANSMISSION. ARE THEY WORN OR MISSING.

blend door is not actuating. it is located on the evaporator case at the front passengers leg hole behind the glove box. perhaps jarring it will get it to move.

I am assuming you have an automatic transmission - maybe your "Neutral Safety Switch" is unplugged or defective. Also make sure your "Fusible Links" are intact. There is also a possibility of the "Starter Motor or Solenoid" having issues. Let me know how that works for you thanks

you should be able to pull up on the headrest and it should come out there might be a little button on the headrest bracket that the rods fit into that you would press in if not just pull straight up with some force also try spraying some W D-40 or PB blaster to loosen the rods in the tracks so you can pull up on them GOOD LUCK!STEPHEN
