Look for your thermostat housing (follow the radiator hose from the engine) remove the housing and you'll see the thermostat. Use some silicon adhesive when you put it back on,to prevent leaks along with a gasket.

Having the same problem with my 2001 Merc Cougar, When does it black out? While reving or randomly? Mine is while heavy accelerating. Could be over voltage at the charging system (alternator or regulator) or internal in the cluster. Get the alternator and batt tested first, ask for a load test, then try the cluster next.

You do not check the coolant level in the radiator. It will be on the side of the coolant overflow tank. Please rate my answer for helpfulness.

do you have any kind of entertainment systems hooked up to the battery for instance the subwoofers in my car constantly make my lights dim and brighten if i have them loud enough

u should check your oil pump if your car comes equipped with one

Try changing the battery or use jumper cables in addition to the battery that is in the car. Many times the starters go bad even if the car ran when parked.

You can try hitting the starter case with a brick or hammer and tap it a few times. If no luck try bypassing the starter relay with a jumper cable. If you discover the engine is frozen, try to remove spark plugs and spray WD 40 in the cylinders and let the starter turn the engine without the plugs.

Dear Dim Headlight Owner.....There is a product out there made by both Meguires and Motheres( both different brands) that restores headlights to literally brand new. It is a VERY aggressive rubbing compound mixture. It runs about $9 a bottle.....but it's the cat's meow!!!!! I have both brands of these and they a frikkin AWESOME!!! It will take you about five minutes per headlight.....and a little bit of elbow grease....but you will be VERY impressed with the end result.Just a little warning tho....do not use this on car paint....only because it's so aggressive......you'll need to buy a couple polishing cloths also.....HAPPY BUFFING!!!! I HOPE I HELPED!!!!

Hello. I can assist you. To replace the headlight you have to remove the cover on the outside using a phillips head screwdriver. Once you are in to the bulb it just unplugs and you plug in a new one. If you need a little free assistance just drive to any autozone autoparts store where they offer a free service including use of their tools and use of one of their clerks to assist you. In many cases, they just show you by doing the job for you. good luck.

replace the fuel level indicator in the fuel tank. on some cars fuel pump and level indicator are the same unit and some they are two different assemblies. either way you will need to drop the fuel tank to get to them.

push down on the back of the car if it bounces more than once it needs new shocks, also check for leaking fluid from around the shock seals at the top of the shock, if leaking replace

the fuel pump is inside the gas tank, this is true on all Fords with electronic fuel injection

does it only do it when you use cruise control?
if so you may have a bad cruise release switch on the brake pedal...if not you may have a broken return cable spring on the throttle body or its binding

If it's not low on ATF, then the forward clutches and/or low one-way clutch are faulty.

The window regulator is most likely your problem. Some have a plastic track that the teeth get chewed up and the gear can't drive it anymore. I believe the regulator comes as a unit, including the motor and all.
