Are the battery cables clean and tight on both ends ?

bad news mate-need a new fuel pump-Denny

Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I have the same car with the same issue? I've checked all fuses & they are good, it worked fine until one day nothing unusual happened. car is very clean 75,000 miles.

On the 1985 Continental, you must remove the lower dash knee bolster under the steering wheel to get to the shif column end of the cable.Then disconnect the cable from the lower side of the column. The cable will then come up and out with the instrument cluster.

Fuel filter stopped up, fuel pump relay needs to be checked and replaced or fuel pump itself is bad. Have some get down on their knees at the side of your car and turn on the ignition switch, can you should be able to hear the pump pulse in the tank, if not replace relay and filter first. Pump is inside tank.

Should be vac diagram either on fan shroud or on sticker underside of hood. If no longer vivible can always go to an auto store for a schematic. good luck

if the compressor comes on you have a O ring under the dryer and check the lines at the top of the dryer the compressor for leaks then check your 3 ride hieght sonsors

the sensor is in the dash i found mine whilereplaceing the heater core you got to take it all apart

It sound like you may have alternator problems...this can drain your battery and by not charging, your battery will go dead while running. If the regulator is sticking it will drain the battery o/nite when turned off....test your alt.......hope this helps..GL

Using your keyless entry on the keypad, press the 5 digit code to get into the door and press the 6 key immediately after. Lincoln has several codes in addition to the 5 digit keyless entry like pressing the 3 to open all the doors, the 6 for the trunk and pressing the last 2 buttons at the same time to lock the doors.

Sounds like the travel has stopped before it should and that is stopping the lock working. Check there is nothing blocking the free movement of the roof mechanism.
