The cruise control was working fine, I had to cancel it due to traffic and when I tried to go back to cruise control later in the trip it would not work.
This works...the cruise is directly tied to the brake lights...when I replaced the brake and side light bulbs on my 2004 Santa Fe,,,the cruise started working with no other adjustments. It must complete a circuit or something.

Hello,
I have a 2004 sonata with 108K miles. The car started missing and the engine light came on. The car missing and has no power,
I borrowed a code tester and found four codes. P0300, P0302, P0303, and P0350. I tested and found that the coil for cyls 2 and 3 did not have the required 20K resistance between the two outputs. I replaced the coil and during the test drive all seemed well for about ten miles when the missing and loss of power returned.
The engine light came back on only showing code P0350.
I check both connectors for the coils, and found proper voltage and ground. I also replaced the spark plugs and visually inspected all wires and connections in the engine compartment.
Any ideas as to what to look for now?
Thanks in advance,
Darrell
P0350 Ignition Coil Primary/Sensor Circuit If there is no voltage at either of 2 ignition coil group during 32 ignitions, the PCM determines that a fault exists and a DTC is stored.. http://hmaservice.com/viewer/dispimg.asp?path=/data/Passenger/HY/HMA/ENG/DTC-images/HY-EF13-IMAGES-ENG/ef24035011.jpg

When headlights are off I brake and the lights work fine but then if I turn my healights on and brake the only light that turns on is the top one. I already checked bulbs and a mechanic checked the fuses and said it keeps burning the fuse to the brake lights. He said he needed to run a diagnostic to see where the problem is but I dnt have the money now. Is there another way of finding out what it is?
YES -- process of elimination. Obviously there's a short circuit in the Brake/Headlight circuits - right? Blown fuse(s) is/are evident of this -- would you agree? Which fuse(s) is/are blowing? An analysis tells you that the only time a fuse blows is when the headlamps are turned on -- correct? Otherwise, brake lights work normally -- right? OK. Head lamps have relays which turn them on. Here's a wiring diagram of the 2000 Hyundai Sonata (NOT the Jeep Grand Cherokee)
It would appear the problem is with one or more bulbs or sockets or both. As you many notice, there are no connections between the headlamps and brake lamps except the parking lamps (which share the bulbs/sockets)
When the headlamps are turned on, so does the tail lamp relay. As you can see, these bulbs/sockets are 'DUAL' filament to ground (series-parallel circuit). Just a guess here - the short is in one of the lower rear brake/parking lamp bulbs/sockets.... just a guess.

Mechanics can't reset the computer for emission testing. I replaced the oxygen sensor. I was told to drive the car to clear the computer. Will I be able to drive it according to the "driving cycle" to clear it? If so, what is the driving cycle. Hyundai has not been able to help. Has this been a problem that has come up with other Hyundai Sonatas i have a 1997 Nissan Sentra that says Oxygen Sensors not ready, Egr not ready Catalist not ready and evap not ready. The car hasnt had work done on it in eight months its been in use those eight months just how long is the drive cycle?
Under the hood, there is a fuse block. I believe it is on the driver's side of your vehicle. Open that box, and pull the "ECU" fuse. Leave the fuse out for at least 5 minutes. Put the fuse back in, start the car, and let it idle for at least another 5 minutes. Do not drive the car, touch the gas, or even look at the gas pedal for these 5 minutes, as the ECU is remapping itself. This will properly reset the ecu and clear the codes. After this you may drive the car.

what is the easiest way to remove the radio in a 2004 hyundai sonata
Remove the facia plate, and remove the 4 screws that hold the radio in place. It's actually one of the simplest cars you can do.

When I start my car in the morning, it makes a terrible screeching sound. I discovered that the noise only occurs if I have the air conditioner or the heater on. When I shut it off, the noise stops. Or, if I rev up the car a little bit, the noise will stop then.
Is there a belt in there somewhere that needs replaced?
It may just need to be adjusted (it sounds like it's too loose). If the belt isn't cracked or frayed, you should just have it tightened up a bit . If there are signs it is worn (cracked frayed) replace it.

2004 Hyundai Sonata doors will not lock from the keyless remote, the key in either door will only lock the door the key is in, not all doors as designed. Central locking switch on driver's door will unlock all doors, lock none. All unlock functions work fine. Fuse is OK. Battery in keyless remote is good. When unlocking I can hear at least 2 relays clicking behind fuse panel, trying to lock can only faintly hear 1 relay. W/ a wiring diagram, I could fix it, I'm certain.
you have a bad relay.. the 'lock' relay.
