High Level Brake bulb replacement

If memory serves, there are two screws holding this light assy to the rear package deck. They are covered (LH and RH side of this assy). remove the covers and using a phillips screwdriver, remove the screws and lift the assy up and away from the rear glass. you now have access to the bulb and socket.

I think the 2004 Accent only came with a 1.6 liter engine as far as I know. In any case below is as much information I have as far as your code including a wiring diagram of that circuit (CMP sensor). The wiring diagram doesn't tell the wire colors but does tell you where the wire goes or what "pin" number it is at the connectors. I included the connectors which is by number and marked the ECM connector for you. I had a picture of the CMP sensor location but not the ECM location but can tell you the ECM connector is located behind the dash fuse panel. Hope this helps....3_15_2012_9_38_42_am.jpg3_15_2012_9_39_12_am.jpg3_15_2012_9_39_37_am.jpg3_15_2012_9_40_01_am.jpg3_15_2012_9_40_24_am.jpg3_15_2012_9_40_49_am.jpg3_15_2012_9_41_15_am.jpg

Accent crdi back compretion started recently

try again my explorer locked up ,right front pulley behind it is the timing gear which is locked into place by a keyway ,this keyway wears and rattles plus the timing gear so the timing is out and the valves hit the pistons ,result back pressure from the bent valves ,the keyway and on the front of the timing gear is another roll pin into the crank nose and they all break here allowing the keyway to chomp away at the timing gear and woodruff key .Result an expensive repair on this diesel engine

I own a 2004 Hyundai Accent. I'm not able to shift out of park. I've tried the shift over ride and that worked once, now it doesn't H E L P !

Have someone look at the Brake lights when you press the Brake pedal. Your car needs the Brake switch to unlock the Shifter. If you do not have working Brake lights, then that is the problem. There is a safety Lock-out which requires the Brakes to be on when you try to move the gearshift out of Park. Sometimes the switch gets bumped or broken by your feet getting in or out of the car. I work on Ford family Brands and this is how the shifter releases on them. You can call an autoparts store and ask about this safety switch. On your car, they may have a cycling phase switch which may be the reason the temporary fix was temporary. Until the switch is recycled, it may not work.About the only thing I can think of to give you 1 more start is to remove the NEG battery terminal a few minutes and then reconnect it. Then try to start it and override the system like you did once.

All the more reason you should get either the wiring harness repaired or the speed sensor replaced (since you've been a mechanic, you know the risk).

I've only owned the vehicle for 2 days (2004

Wandering fuel guages are associated with a bad fuel pump/sending unit in the tank. Probably one of the reasons it was for sale. will be about $200 for unit and $100 to change. Check your warranty for coverage.
Good luck
