get someone you trust to rev motor a little while car is parked to see if the exhaust seems normal for the motor speed ...if not the catylitic converter may be stopped up and need to be replaced.

You know the instruction how to open the hood is under the hood :) Grab a pliers and pull on the cable to open the hood inspect the battery terminals for good connections and make sure the battery is fully charge. jump start and using a volt meter check for good charge from alternator 13.5V-14.2V post more information to get more help Good luck

Have you checked to see if it has spark ?? Is it getting fuel ?? Have you checked all the fuses to make sure they are all good ??

do you mean the seat belt pre-tensioner? i would'nt advise investigating airbag/safety system as you might set the air bag off then that would be the end of a car that age ,take to a garage

you have to take the car to a mechanic with software... and machine. plug in and clear faults. NB. it will come on again if there is a problem with airbag.

Did you check for an inline fuse in the power wire to the unit itself rather than a fuse in the car's fusebox?
