THERE IS A LOUD BUZZING SOUND FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON WHAT IS IT
No idea without a good look could be a relay is being flashed across where its on the same earth connection or picking up a low voltage supply from a dodgy wire ,would need a good look and a play to be sure of this sort of problem ,but if this vehicle is a american market car then its a problem with the magic relay and its screaming in protest as something is holding it in one place all the time instead of hiding around the inside of the car when its being looked for by the owner judging by the questions on this site .

What are causes of a bad timing belt in1996 hyundai elantra
Timing belts do wear out - they flex and bend literally millions of times while they last.If you are having problems with timing belts wearing out before their rated lifespan, check the timing gears for misalignment, burrs, wear, or improper lubrication. Worn crank, camshaft or belt tensioner bearings may also cause problems with the belt. Also make sure the belt tensioner is working properly, with the rated amount of tensioning force.
Hi i got an error
P1611 =
MIL request signal circuit
low input
MIL-on Request
Line
This code is set when the MIL On Request from the TCM (Transmission Control Module) has/had a problem getting the information to the ECU (Engine Control Module). In the 98 Elantra, there are two separate computer modules; one for the engine, the other for the transmission. (both located under the dash Driver's side. The diagnostic procedure specifies the wiring between the ECM & TCM be checked for any damage/defects. If none found, then replace the TCM with a new one to see if the problem (code) occurs again. If communication between TCM & ECM is corrected, you should have a ****** code related to the MIL On Request from the TCM (****** codes begin with P07 w/the next two digits (??) identifying the specific transmission component/malfunction).
You can also Go to
www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop & owner manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc
