I would check the electric fan on the radiator. They can fail intermittently giving

Don't believe there is a fuse for this, but will check.Anything else stopped working?.
It gets its signal via the distributor, although 1994 may have been year of facelift model with directfire and no distributor.
You will need to remove the instrument cluster and test for signal,if there is a signal at the distributor.
Let me know if you need details of testing
I hope that this gives some direction

Change a water pump and timing belt on my 1994

If your marks are aligned, which they sound like you got them close, Then you will need to apply pressure to the belt tensioner. The tensioners don't always put enough presussre to the belt, thus letting the cam and crank be out of sync, just a hair. But that hair is enough to cause your problems. When you get the tensioner set recheck your marks, they can not be off.

I found a 94 Hyundai Elantra for a great price

Hi, if you can drive it again try driving it with the gas filler cap off if it then drives fine and you get no warning light then this would be worth buying as it would only be a blocked breather and this would not cost much at all to get put right, if you still get the warning then walk away as it could end up costing you a fortune as it could have several problems.

please walk away if the light stays on as it could cost more than the cars worth to put right, it could have several things wrong such as oxygen sensors or cat if it has one or even the ecu so its not worth touching unless taking the filler cap off solves the problem.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Settings and the valve clearances

Valve Setting is usually done only by authorised service center of Hundai, because if you do the setting wrongly it may hurt the car performance. Kindly go to the car service center or you can get the data only by visiting any Hundai service center directly.

1999 Lantra - which fuse is for the reverse lights

may not have one because it could be hooked up to your ignition,so i would suggest that you check for power on the switch it self,if you got power both sides then remove your light globe and check if any power is there,if so replcae globes,if not check wiring from switch to lights.
