Hyundai 1993 excell ecu fuse whereabouts

It is usually in the fuse panel under the hood. It's easier to disconnect both battery cables and hold them together for a few seconds. Reconnect the battery cables and the ecu will be cleared

Hi bought a 98 excel for my son. Noticed burning smell, oil all over motor coming out of the bolts area of the cover where you put the oil in (plastic), not sure what its called. Looks like someone ha

It's called the rocker cover. Some use cork gaskets, others use a silicone sealant . It isn't a bad problem unless there is damage to the cover itself. It's not expensive to fix if you have the tools and the time. Check around your local repair shops for pricing. The dealership will be the more expensive way to go, but you'll know the job was done correctly and they'll have all the parts necessary to do the job.

No spark at plugs

Do you mean you get spark from coil high tension wire to dizzy cap? If so, the only thing left is the cap and rotor and wires and the engine must have a good ground.

Why does it act like it vapor locks while driving when it gets hot, does not overheat but it dies and will not start until it cools off.

Sounds like a faulty coil, that's where I would look first, hope this helps

I have a 1993 hyuandai excel that doesnt seem to

All Hyundai excel owners need to be on their toes, and watch for little problems turning into bigger problems. You have to be a dedicated mechanic to keep the little green machine going! So I salute you for being outstanding.Electrical problems like yours could be an ignition problem you haven't yet gotten to, or could also be a failing fuel pump, hard to say, but as you can see, stalling problems are usually gas or spark related. That's where you should begin checking, but honestly, if you don't have a multimeter, you would only be down to guessing. It would be worth it in the end to pay for a diagnostic test, that or try one used part after another, the computer, the crank angle sensor (not a used one for that), the ignition module. Well, that should cover the ignition system with what you've already replaced. Of course you have to consider the considerable amount of wiring and wiring connectors and relays and such, when saying ignition system. Even the ignition switch is part of it. If you lose spark: the computer, the crank angle sensor, and the ignition module or power transistor as some cars have. Those are what make the coils work to generate high voltage for spark all the time. A lot of electrical components fail when they get hot- a coil is a classic example. The crank angle sensor is another. Do you have a good fuel filter? Can you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key to on? It should come on for a couple of seconds with the key turned to on. When the car stalls, listen for the pump especially, by first just turning the key to on, before you try to start it. If you can't hear the pump, have the fuel pressure checked. The problem may lie down that route. Just a side note: several years back, I almost bought a '91 excel, not running. But after talking to the owner who was very honest, changed my mind. He said he thought the fuel pump may have gone out again, or the computer may need replacing. There was a common problem in the fuel pump wiring at the computer, as I recall, poor connections at the computer caused an internal short in the computer and it affected the fuel pump. Well good luck, keeping it tuned and turning, that's the key for older cars.

Turn signal

It could be round or square (rectangular) depending on if it is an electronic (rectangular) or a regular (round) flasher... Both are available for your particular model.

Either way it should be located in the fuse compartment inside the vehicle. (The fuse panel is located in the left front kick panel (right by where your left foot sits).

Check fuse #17 (10 amps) in the panel before replacing the flasher, this is the flasher fuse...

Hes not burning already

If you are getting fuel, and no spark, this would be an indication of an ignition fault. Before I go further, is this what you meant? You are getting fuel, but no spark? I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_69f3cc28d95bf514
