fuses can be checked by a visual inspection ( the wire between the 2 prongs must be intact not broken in the middle) or with a multimeter set to continuity test (ohms setting) if there is a circuit the reading will drop to zero and if not continuity the reading will not change

You need to take it an have it diagnosed , may have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the PCM / TCM that will point the service tech. in the right direction !

Bad crankshaft sensor...Bad camshaft sensor....Bad mass airflow sensor. Have vehicle codes pulled to see if any of these sensors may be an issue

Typically, reverse light switches are located under the dashboard. They work like a refrigerator light switch that is pushed in when the door is closed and as soon as the button is allowed to come out the light comes on. In a car, the same kind of switch is operated by the upper end of the brake pedal arm up under the dashboard. Check your fuses also. They're more likely to go than the switch.

You probably should use a torque wrench.

its a good idea to just call a glazier, usually the installation is included in the cost and they guarantee the window for up to 2 years from leaks and some types of crack damage.

If you still are decided on going hte self installation route you will need the following tools;

Glazier's knife
Flat head screw driver
Philips head screwdriver.
RTV compound or some kind of window adhesive
1/4in. socket set with driver
the process.
1. remove the windshield wiper arms.
2. remove window trims around the windshield
3. using the glazier's knife cut the old window adhesive around the windshield.
4. clean the adhesive off the windshield perch (that is the area around the windshield on the car)
5. carefully apply new adhesive to the windshield perch.
6. set the new windshield in place and press firmly around the borders of the new windshield you can tell when the windshield is set by the 'squished down' appearance of the adhesive.
7. replace the window trim and wiper arms. allow the adhesive to set for a few hours before allowing the windshield to take on water.
8. not necessary but i like to do this confirm the windshield does not leak by allowing a hose to run freely over the windshield.

***BE WARNED THE EDGES OF TEH WINDOWS ARE SHARP AND CAN CUT YOU VERY SEVERELY, ALSO THE GLAZIER'S KNOW IS SHARP AS WELL***

I had similar problem on 98 Taurus. The plastic housing from air filter to Throttle body had crack on bottom, could not see from above...car would over rev sometimes, then almost stall, Replaced it, with good one from junkyard. Runs smooth again. Crack came from shoving that housing out of way from putting in new thermostat earlier.

have the fault codes read and save money on unnecessary replacement of parts . The codes will reveal what the problem is.
