I show the symptom of brake pads that need changed, what bad brake pads look like, and how to change the rear brake pads and rotor. This is on a 2WD 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L.
Most car dealers are not worth squat. They charge inflated prices for parts, do lousy work , ad infinitum. If you had the turbo replaced to take care of the problem I would go back to that dealer and pitch a boogie and insist on remedial action - they did not fix it!!!!!! If that does not do it file a complaint against the dealer with corporate headquarters to assist you in getting the appropriate service from the dealer. And you cannot be nice about it lest they mess with you further. Only time I ever use a dealer is for recalls or warranty work.
NOTHING ELSE!!!!!!!
Was the timing belt installed properly ( all cams & crankshaft lined up properly) Most popular problem. Air in the cooling system , bad thermo, or bad water pump? Does the fan work without ac on? Sounds like T belt story
Before you jump the gun, reset the computer by disconnecting the neg bat conn for 10 seconds. Reconn, & drive for several miles at high & low speeds to reset the body control module. If the light is still on after you reconn press it 3X & hold down.See if that does the trick.
Hi Gary, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.
Gary, I've seen this hundreds of time on car lots where the mouse has eaten the wires somewhere and the vehicle won't start and run. Look around at all the wiring and if you see any eaten wires then fix the wire and you should be good to go.
Please send people to my auto-repair-website and check out all my satisfied customers at: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/
The problem could be electrical but seeing you have swooped out the started and have the same problem I tend to think alinment
The bendix gear on the starter moves out to engage the flywheel when you turn the key switch to start pisition and is spring loaded to make it return when the key switch is relesed and its in run pisition that all seams to work .
Sometimes you have to shim the starter in other words put something between the mateing surface where the starter houseing attaches to the bell houseing to stand it off .
I like Hyndias well designed vehicle I would talk to a dealer see what they offer for shims you likely olny need to move it back 10 to 15 ths of an inch .and will be vary inexpensive .Just don't wreck the flywheel thats not inexpensive.
