First is to check for drips under care, should be obvious if you are losing a lot of oil in short period of time. If you don't see any obvious leaking under car, if you were burning oil, you would see smoke from tailpipe, blueish color, would be obvious as well if it was burning at a rapid rate. Most likely rust and corrosion has damaged the bulb sockets. You may be able to scrape off the rust, but severe corrosion means you have to replace the bulb sockets.

You could have a bad diode, or installing it backwards. It only lets current thru one way, you could be stopping it, if it is backwards.

Check wiring on top of transmission there's a tab for them

Check for power on small wire on starter when trying to start . No power ignition switch if you have power either bad starter or ground

Ok I have a 2000 sw2 that had a tab out for the wiring on top of transmission were it plugs up .pull wire s off look at the end where they plug together if melted replace both sides. Cost for parts $200.00 .now when this happens sometimes it will burn up the computer if it did pick one up at junk yard $75.00 take to dealership to have flashed $79.00 car will not run till flashed so install there .

Try this-- The next time you start the car, hold the pedal down to the floor. If it starts, Then you have a flooding problem. hold it there for 30 seconds. Then while still holding the pedal to the floor, try to start the car. Hard to say on pc. If above does not work, see or call saturn dealer to see if anyone else is having the same problem. Have you cleared the code with a scanner or code reader ?

Replace the coolant sensor and pigtail located at the back of the head.

did you do stop leak in the oil. that is for a bad head gasket

Any slipping & banging-- you need a complete rebuild

there is two relays in the fuse box on the side of the center console one for lock and the other for unlock check those

the diode is not a fuse its there so the computer doesn't get backfeed if the system is not kicking on check the freon charge

Look for the Fuel Pump Reset Switch. When it shorted out it may have reset that. Your car should still run without that diode. I would replace it though as soon as you can.
