Need help with finding the part to the alternator
Hi!!
I believe you are talking about the voltage regulator. You should find it at any Auto Parts store, if it is something else you are talking about, they have diagrams that will help you identify the part you need.
If Helpful click below, good luck
I have a 1999 Saturn SW2 with both rear power
The window regulators need to be replaced. Go to you tube, type your vehicle info and replace rear window regulator into the search bar, and it will most likely take you
to a detailed video of the replacement.
My 1997 Saturn SW2 overheated a few weeks ago due
plenty of water in the reservoir
none in the radiator
the coolant level sensor is in the radiator and if it is flashing , that indicates no water in the radiator tank and that is the cause of the overheating
I have a 1998 saturn
If you are replacing a DOHC 1998 engine with another DOHC 1998 engine yes it will work. Saturn only made two engines from 91-99 and they all had the same block, difference some were SOHC and others were DOHC. The number "1" after SL or SC or SW means SOHC while the number "2" after SC or SL or SW means a DOHC.
Note if one is an auto and the other manual you are going to have to swap the flywheel/ring gear stuff over.
Adjust idle speed
Probably accelerator/fuel mix sensor? Check the codes at a parts store like Pep Boys, Should indicate the bad boys
1996 Saturn stalls when coming to a stop
Most likely the coolant temp sensor. could also be the egr valve. could also be carboned up throttle plate. could also be bad Idle air control solenoid. It is almost necessary to have a scan tool hooked up to vehicle to tell what is wrong. Too many things can cause it to die.
Won't turn over at all
I would be checking for the main lead to the battery /starter to ensure that it has not burnt though on the exhaust or has not worn through and been shorting out. The clicking noise would ne the solenoid moving but the current is not getting to the starter. Check the condition of the battery. Shorting of the cable will take the current away from the electrics so the engine would stop. The battery will have to be load tested to ensure that it has not been damaged.
The brakes suddenly went out
Open up the hood and locate the brake fluid reservoir and see if there is fluid init if there is no fluid the brake line has busted somewere inbetween the master cylinder and one of the 4 brakes. to find were it is broken fill the resivore full of fluid and put the cap back on now have some one pump the brakes slowly and you should see a stream of fluid coming out some were. this is were your line is busted. if you located the brake you can go to an auto parts store and get a compression coupling to splice in a new part of the brake line.
hope this helps you out
