My Saturn dealer told me I needed to replace the

You can pull the panel and move the window regulator manually to put the window back up. If you can get that far you may as well get the regulator from a boneyard an put it in. You will need a grinder to get the rivets out and some bolts to put it back in. If you don't change the regulator, make sure you unplug the motor inside the door because it may work in "down" mode but not up. You don't want to have to do it again. Or you could check Ebay for the regulator. Good luck.

My wipers are stalling on low speed how do i stop

The Saturn L's are notorious for short lived wiper motors. Search around in here and you will find many similar L wiper problems. Luckily on the L's, this is an owner serviceable replacement with a few simple tools. I am not going to rewrite them again, if you check my problems solved list you will find where I have given step by step instructions on replacing the wiper motor. By all means stay away from a dealer as they will charge you more than the car is worth to do this simple replacement, and you can buy a new motor for about a hundred bucks at autozone or advance. do not put a used one in.

Leaking fluid on passenger floor

Check your radiator level to see if it is using any antifreeze. You can do a taste test, but don't swallow anything that you taste. If it is sweet, it is antifreeze. If it isn't, there is a drain plug that is for your evaporator system that goes to your AC. When it sweats, the water is to run out of the bottom of it. Sometimes they get stopped up and the water doesn't have any place to go and it will splash out onto the floor of the passager side. That is an easy fix.

How do u tell how much transmission fluid goes

It depends on which tranny you have. You either have an MP6, an MP7 or a 4T40E.

The MP6 and MP7 were used on the 1.9L engine.
The 4T40E was used on the 2.2L and the 3.0L

If it's being drained and refilled, the MP6/MP7 holds 4.2 quarts.
The 4T40E holds 7 quarts.

If it's been rebuilt and it's COMPLETELY empty (including torque converter) they hold:
MP6/MP7 = 7.4 quarts
4T40E = 12.9 quarts

If you're just trying to check the level and don't know how much to add, the procedure is to remove the drail plug. The fluid should be level with the bottom of the plug. If no fluid drips out, add fluid until it starts to slowly run out of the drain hole, the tightent the drain hole plug before any more runs out. The fluid will now be at the bottom of the drain hole plug. Keep in mind, this must be done when the transmission is up to at least 104 degrees. Things under there are HOT, so be careful.

Wipers dont work on intermitent

replacing the front wiper motor on the early L series is not difficult.
search around in fixya and you will find my instructions somewhere
at least twice. do not buy a replacement wiper motor from saturn, they are much cheaper through advance or autozone.

before you begin the repair, make sure your wiper switch is off and note the
wipers off position of the crank arm as stamped onto the wiper mount. this will make sense after you have the assembly out of the car and are replacing the wiper motor. if you ignore that mark then the wipers will be in the wrong position all the time.
