I am trying to translate the symbols on the inside
ALL SYMBOLS ARE UNIVERSAL ON THE FUSE COVER, SO WILL MATCH THOSE FROM OTHER CARS IF YOU ARE JUST LOOKING FOR A BLOWN FUSE THEN GET A MULTIMETER WITH A CONTINUITY TEST AND USE THIS TO TEST THE FUSES, IF NOT GET A MANUAL FROM HAYNES OR CHILTONS, OR DESCRIBE WHAT FUSE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR,
Getted down
Hi,
Sounds like the air compressor is on it's way out. Does it appear to run for a long time?
Replacement compressors can be got from the likes of eBay for about a quarter of LR prices and are up to the job. You can also get a repair kit for the compressor but if the bore is worn/damaged it will not help for long.
Also you may have a small airleak somewhere as although the P38 will settle it shouldn't really go to the bump stops in a day.
Hope this helps.

Wheels at speed
Hi,
Unfortunately a lot of P38s suffer from steering instabilities and fitting larger wheels can exaberate the condition.
My on P38 developed the so called 'death wobble' which was partially traced to the panhard rod bushes on one side being knackered allowing the rod to shimy causes the car to snake at speed.
There are many other causes so check ALL your suspension and steering linkages. Check the rear also as it has been known to cause problems at the front.
Fitting a gas steering damper will help but this would just be masking a fault.
Also try google for 'p38 death wobble'
Sorry not to more of a help and good luck with tracking the cause down!

Cold air comming from driver's side w/heat
Hi,
This happened to my P38 also.
Turned out that one of the blend motors was goosed. Got a replacement which is quite a bugger to fit as most of the dash has got to come out. I done this myself as garages can charge up to 10 hours labour for this!
If you have an LCD Display for your hevac you will see a picture of a book on the display. This indicates a fault of which the duff blend motor is just one of many faults that can and do occur in the P38.
If you do buy a new (second hand) motor be aware that there are different ones for either mixing the air or changing the direction of the air flow.
Hope this is of some help.
