After ages searching finally found this on the Cobra site.... A8510 KEY PROGRAMING Ensure the immobiliser is disarmed :- 1) Switch the ignition ON and OFF three times then back to the ON position within seven seconds. 2) The LED on the dashboard will light up signaling the unit is in programming mode. 3) Touch an already programmed key onto receptical, the LED will extinguish for one second 4) Repeat step 3 for all other keys (Max of 4 touch keys) 5) To exit programming switch off the ignition key (unit will automatically exit programming after four keys) NOTE :- 1) Programing procedure can only entered with the system disarmed. 2) If all keys have been lost the system will need to be replaced

This my not be exactly the same as your model, but probably close enough to identify the functions

'Check Engine' is a general warning light telling you there is a problem somewhere on the engine. **Note** It is supposed to come on when you turn the key as it is checking the engine electronics. It should go off after a couple of seconds to show the system is working properly. If it stays on get a good auto electrician to plug it into a specialist diagnostic computer to find out where the problem is.

i need to brush up on landrovers what year is yours SU carbys or EFI system spark plugs means fuel ....not a diesel leads and coil and electronic distributor fitted a bang when started ? that a backfire through the air filter ? timing out or fuel issue you say running rich running rough the 02 sensors may need replacing clean maf and air filter timing chain or belt slipped ? starting if a separate problem starter relay or starter and solenoid to be checked out

Year make and model helps...Clean the throttle body and MAF sensor. Clean or replace the idle air control motor.(IAC)

Distributor? Dist. rotor? Wires / Leads? Plugs? ....

If you don't have a 'code reader/re-setter', try taking the navigate battery cable off for about ten minuets and see if that doesn't clear it.

Sounds like a switch failure or a loose wire near the switch. A short wold have caused the fuse to blow. Remove the cover over the steering column and check the wiring

Check fuel pressure to insure proper PSI. could be fuel filter, fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.

Because it is not getting any fuel! as soon as the ether burns up if no fuel then it quits. check all fuses and relay for fuel pump. to check fuel pump to see if its running. have someone turn the key to start, while somebody is under car at fuel tank. hold hand on tank, if it works you will feel the vibration from pump. most relays for fuel pump are in under hood fuse box. a fuel pump if good, will only run a few seconds to build up pressure in line. when engine starts it runs continuously. so you may have to turn key on a few times. not saying it is landrover barrel but best way is get your new barrel and that should tell you how it is fitted normally a spring loaded pin holds barrel in socket

Check or replace the sensor unit in the engine. If that does not solve the problem it could be the guage itself is faulty which might or might not be a easy fix. If it is like most new vehicles the gauges are on a PC board and not seperate which means replacing the whole pc board. If in fact it has sperate gauges you should be able then to just replace the guage if the sending unit does not fix the problem. Another thing to check is the engine thermostat it might be staying open allowing the engine to run cooler then it should.

Also check the following:1) Spark plugs, leads and coil(s)2) Air filter3) Fuel pump pressure.

Could be a leak in the system or could be it just needs more coolant...if it is leaking you may add a sealant that in some cases stops the leak...best place to find what you need is autozone,they will help ya out with what you need.....hope this helps and good luck and please rate this..

first time i have ever heard of bleeding a oil pump in 40 yrs of motor fitting as for the other things i couldnt tell you without my head under the bonnet ,and to listen to the noise as well then i would know what it is but i honestly think you have bought someones elses problem motor here
