Radio is asking for code.
This problem generally occurs when the battery has been disconnected. What you need is enter the code from the radio to be re-activated.
The
radio code is usually located in the back pages of the vehicle owner's
manual or sticker on the back some of the same radio. If not so, you need to visit some local brand to provide, the code with your vehicle's VIN number.
Hope thats help.
Speedometer stopped working engine lght came on
Boy have I changed a bunch of these. The vehicle speed sensor is located on the tailshaft of the transfer case near where the rear driveshaft is connected. Easy replacement. Clear the code and test drive.
Breather hose covered in black oil what can caurse
Any oil leak should be attended to ASAP for obvious reasons... could be a split hose or excessive crank case pressure. If the oil loss is minimal then no need to panic but I would get it looked at by a Land Rover speciallist.
We have a landy 1 wheels 235/70/16 rims are 16x7j
Likely you will end up with the same or similar footprint on the ground, but, the change will cause the speedometer to read lower than actual speed.
since the vehicles computer also uses that info, you may see a performance fall off due to that. The additional tire diameter will also put a bit more strain on the driveline as the further away from the axle center the tire tread is the more torque it takes to turn the axle (the inverse of how a lever or long wrench works) Therefore, the tires may physically fit but you need to consider these things before going ahead with it.
I want to change the leads on the spark plugs. i
The part that you unscrewed from the spark plug is what allows the plug cap to snap onto the plug. Screw the little adaptor back onto the spark plug - and the plug cap should then snap into place with a little pressure.
Replace cv joint rubber boot on front near side,
If the boot is torn it is a good possibility that the shaft may need to be changed. Auto zone and schucks sell aftermarket boots that are called split boots so you don't have to remove the axle. other wise if you buy a new boot you will have to remove the hub cap break the nut loose on the axle then jack up that side and remove the tire remove the brake caliper remove the lower control arm remove the lower ball joint out of the ball joint then force the shaft of the ball joint out of it,s socket pull axle assembly away from the axle and force axle out then remove the old clamps then remove the boot. If it is the outer that's all you need to do if it's the inner boot which some models have then the axle has to be removed from the trans-axle. Be sure to clean the Area where the new boot goes on and clean the U-joint that the boot it covers, when you buy a new boot they should supply you with new grease if they do be sure to pack the grease in the u-joint then install the boot making sure the boot slips into the groove of the axle and slip clamp on and hook it in the spot and bend it forward then bend the tabs over that hold the clamp in place. Be sure where the boot fits it is clean or you will not get it tight enough and it will come off..
Land rover discovery1 what is o/s drag link end
Hi,
If you look underneath at the front, you will see a steel bar which goes between both front wheel hub assemblies. At each end is a ball joint.
The off side (o/s) end is the right hand (looking forward) or Drivers Side in the UK.
Hope this helps.

Radio codes
the code is usually located on a sticker in the glove box. If not you going to have to remove the radio, get the serial number and call a dealership.
How do I remove a door panel on a 1995 Discovery?
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge.
Replacing brakes on a landrover discovery 300
Unless you are a qualified mechanic I suggest you do not atempt any brake repairs youself, If something is done wrong and your brakes fail you would not be able to forgive yourself. My advise is to book it into a specialist and pay for the job to be done right!
