Unlikely to be a fuse blown. Doesn't your Discovery have Daytime Running Lights? If so the right side might be a blown fuse. If the rear lights are on, that mean you have the nighttime lights on. My mother worked at Land Rover in Solihull for 12 years. :>)

You can't bypass anti theft systems especially on a high end vehicle like a Freelander. My mother worked at Land Rover in Solihull for 19 years and put miles on the Freelander, the 'Rover J Car) as a test vehicle. Anyway, I digress. The Anti theft system is run by two computers (ECM and BCM), the anti theft module and lots of sensors. You have to fix the issue, not find a way around it. You need an auto electrician. The 7e8 code is a general code for the Fuel Tank Pressure System and is not a specific diagnostic trouble code. Get the vehicle scanned with an OBD2 diagnostic scanner to check for Trouble Codes. These will give better clues as to what's causing this issue. Comment with the codes and I'll try to help you more. If you have to pay for the scan ask at 4 or 5 different places as prices can be VERY different. On the starting issue have you checked the Battery? A flat, low or old battery can cause starter motors to struggle. Sometimes it is as easy as that. Is it a single click or a faster repeating click? Is it a loud or a quiet click? A single, quiet click could be the starter relay in the fuse box. A louder single click could be an issue with the starter solenoid or it's connection to the starter motor. A loud, fast, repeating click could be the starter motor itself.

not one clue at all told what kind of transmission is there. no year car. 1997 to 2015 k6 engine, 2.5L gas. 2001 to 2006 made i guess F means failure. the 5speed tranny if failing scan the PCM using a OBD2 scan tool see what's up. check tranny levels yet? a must. that.

It does sound like the suspension sensor module is throwing an error, when that happens it is putting your vehicle into get you home mode, ie it will limit your revs in every gear to protect itself. Find an independent garage that fixes Landrovers and it might just be a cheap sensor change, or even a dodgy earth .

ALL THIS IS CART BEFORE HORSE STUFF.! 1- fuses are first blown 2: scan the PCm is next ,after all if PCM detects spark dead it cuts fuel dead in blink if an eye,(as in no crash and burn as seen on TV) 3: if above is not helping (no DTCS) the we,, we check fuel pressure on the rail, cranking or at idle. if out of spec we check FPR and the PUMP voltage. if pump is dead, 0 PSI (bar) we check voltage to the pump actual 12vdc good or 0v bad, below 11volts bad or battery is weak.! that is how all EFI is tested,not guessing, not discovering pins the PCM that floats (ever hear of tri-state logic) the output of a pcm or computer or any logic module can be 1; 0V GROUND DRIVEN STATE 2: 12v or 5vdc drivenstate 3: or floating, as in not used now and floats to save energy. best is work from a service manual and no guess and the real schematic. what matters is, 1: NO DTCs for spark dead, (p0300 is weak spark not dead) 2: pump pressure at spec, cranking and at idle of can be sustained. 3: if pressure fails cranked (a 2 man test) and 12vdc is on the 2 pins of pump cranked then the pump /FPR is bad. if voltage is wrong at the pump we work backwards to the point of failure on those 2 wires, pump feed. that how this is done, and not taking a bath in fuel tank dropped on a whim.

use a hair drier and blow it dry, cross fingers for easy fix. water or drinks and electronics are bad acts. or replace the bad parts or have a shop fix it. check fuse scan the PC see the errors?

Check your fuel tank breather's not blocked and tank going into vacuum.

You need a good auto-electrician, or an alarm installer to reprogram it. They have programming computers that tell the vehicle what the code is, rather than asking it..

Normally you just phone the dealership and give them the VIN Number and they give you the code for free. You can try that and give them the radio serial number. If you service the vehicle there, they will certainly do it.
