Roof wont go up it
it could be one of three things which are to be checked
1) low hyd fluid.
2)a broken micro switch.
3) a sheer pin missing.--------------------
Do you hear anything, like a pump or motor running? If not, I would start by checking the fuses. Next, I would probe the wiring harness to the motor with a voltmeter, checking for voltage with the switch is depressed.
Then look for obvious fluid leaks.
the fluid can be checked from the right side of the trunk, under an access panel.
---------------
Check and lubricate your trunk lid latch. Spray with wd40, or equivalent over there.if this the same problem then it may be bad trunk lid alignment or something, because the trunk latch (the one that rests in the lid) has two screws, one of which seems to have been moved out of its place------- you van try this ,,,,
waggle the 2 parts of the boot latch together (and get them to fit together into the closed state), and then you have to open the roof halfway, so that the boot lid is upright, to be able to see what was going on at the latch.
Then slightly loosen the 2 cross head screws securing the part of the latch that is mounted in side the boot, and juggle it about until the 2 parts of the latch fit into each other properly.
To test opening and shutting the lid in course of all this, you need to return the lid temporarily to its normal closed position, with its front edge down against the front edge of the boot, and to do so you have to disconnect the 2 rams from the lid temporarily: to do so is easy- just lever up the little hinge clips at the place where the rams join the lid, and fold the rams out of the way so that you can shut the boot, holding the front edge of the lid down.
All the best, and be careful that the roof doesn't come down while your head is inside the boot. Keep a close eye on it, and maybe use a wedge to hold it up,.
