1994 Lincoln Town Car - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Question edited for typo. Question moved to sub category. My first thought was "are you oiling the gasket on the oil filter when you install it"? The rubber gasket needs to turn and seat. Well it could be the plug but most likly not as you are facing the engine on teh left side by the fire wall there will be a few coolant hoses check all of them for leaks

You buy the rear for the rear and the right or left side and the front for let or right side

Well it is cheaper to replace the window and regulator they will be sold to gather. If it has not been replaced just pull door panel off unplug motor un bolt to screws that hold window in reg. un screw regulator, Some might have rivets grind them off and use not and bolts to replace them plug new motor in to make sure it is not the switch before you take it all apart

Great news, you can program a 1994 Lincoln Town Car keyless entry remote yourself! Here are the steps: NOTICE: You must have all remotes on hand when performing this procedure. Any remotes not used during this procedure will become inactive. 1. Turn ignition to RUN or ACC. (Run is forward, just shy of starting car.) 2. Momentarily jump pins in programming connector located behind the glove box. (The connector will have two pins inside of it, and it will not be plugged into anything. Jumping the pins means to make a connection between the metal inside the plug. You can do this by using any metal, a metal paperclip bent in the shape of a "U" usually works perfect.) All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. 3. Press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. 4. If programming a second keyless remote, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. 5. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode. Have you check the transmission fluid?

clean the area , than run the engine to see exactly where is the leek, i dont think anything is missing if its leeking from the sensor, change it

of you cut off switch in the trunk the compressor will not run and there will be no air in the lines there is not system just lines

Have the crank position sensor checked. This sounds very familiar.

• Disconnect connector from windshield wiper motor.
• Check continuity to ground at Circuit 57 (BK).

Is ground OK? Yes No GO to E2 . SERVICE open in Circuit 57 (BK). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system. E2 CHECK FOR POWER AT WIPER MOTOR

• Place ignition switch at RUN and multi-function switch at OFF.
• Check for battery voltage between Pin 1, Circuit 65 (DG) and Pin 4, Circuit 57 (BK) at the windshield wiper motor connector.

Is B+ present? Yes No GO to E3 . SERVICE open circuits. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system. E3 CHECK MOTOR CIRCUIT CONTINUITY THROUGH WINDSHIELD WIPER CONTROL MODULE

• With multi-function switch at OFF, check continuity between Circuit 28 (BK/PK) and 56 (DB/O) and between Circuits 61 (Y/R) and 63 (R).

Is continuity OK? Yes No GO to E5 . GO to E4 . E4 CHECK CIRCUITS TO WIPER CONTROL MODULE

• Disconnect wiper control module connector.
• Check continuity of Circuits according to the chart below from the wiper motor to the wiper control module. Wiper Control Module Connector Wiper Motor Connector Pin Circuit Pin 6 Pin 2 28 (BK/PK) Pin 8 Pin 6 56 (DB/O) Pin 12 Pin 5 61 (Y/R) Pin 13 Pin 3 63 (R)

• Check that windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft and linkage is not bent, cracked or mis-positioned.

Is windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft linkage OK? Yes No REPLACE windshield wiper motor. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

First off you need to do some testing to see what needs replacing !

• Windshield Wipers Will Not Park at Proper Position

• Damaged windshield wiper motor.

• Damaged windshield wiper control module.

• Damaged circuitry.

• GO to Pinpoint Test E .

probably out of coolant and wont let itself blow up . have a technician see if you have and R34 in your cooling/AC system can be switched to the newer friendly ac for cheap needs new O-rings for all hoses and connectors, Just ORings, and coolant, new screw on fill ends

If you know what you are doing and the car is up in the air about 4hours.

the problem will be more likely a broken spring at the fuel door it flips the door open but when it breaks the door still remains locked closed it takes 2 people , one to hold the button to open and the other to pry the door open once open replace the spring ( available from a spare parts department at the service dealer ) take it to a service dealer for a quicker fix as it is a common fault with all cars
