First thing to ask, Did you turn the engine off and taken keys out, because I know some folk who around this time is cold outside and leave the engine running while filling up, and this happens. If not, you got a promblem here, The vent valve is damaged, this is located between the pipe going down to your gas tank and where you are filling up. The vent valve, and filler pipe is one unit and will need to be replaced to solve your promblem.

The conveience delay module may have a problem if equipped. It is designed to operate some of the features with the ignition turned off( radio,wipers,power windows etc) until the driver opens the door and power is then cut to these features.

Your thought is right. Valve seals. The uphill thing is a little slop in the valve guides. I would replace the seals first. Valve guides are a head job.

Check to see if you have wires going to the brakes/wheel hub. No wires, no ABS.

There is a log bolt that needs to be loosened,but the bolt on the back ,top of the alternator has to be loosened first,then turn the long adjusting bolt counter clock wise,to loosen the alternator to get the belt off,after loosening the long bolt you can pull on the belt itself,and this will pull the alternator towards the engine,then you can remove the bolt.

Look up from beneath the lower edge of the panel and used something dull like a butter knife to carefully pry the panel away from the door. You should then see the plastic buttons shaft that goes into holes in the door. These can be gently pried away from the door using needle nose pliers, or a special tool made for this. Next insure you have removed all screws in arm rests and door handles. Work your way around the panel edge popping out remaining plastic fasteners and then push up from bottom of panel to unhook top edge. If you break some of the plastic fasteners, parts stores have replacements.

just a question did they give you the right filter . some of there so called parts people do not know one car from another even with the book in front of them , the filter should attach even with a hose and clamp which most are on that way

It may simply be a plugged port, or it may be where a previous owner removed an accessory of some kind. If the vehicle is working correctly, keep the port plugged and try no to obsess about it.
