Leaking brake fluid at valve box on firewall ,hat it is calleddont know w

if you have fluid leaking where you say, then I would suggest you get a new master cylinder or if you can a repair kit (don't think you can get these now though). the fluid is getting past the seals in the main cylinder that is connected to the brake peddle, any leak here is dangerous as it can lead to sudden loss of brakes.

No heat 2006

Assuming that you have the proper amount of coolent added, check where your heater hoses connect to the engine block for rust and corrossion, this is a common area to clog up, preventing coolent flow from circulating through your heater core. If ok, check for a thermostat that is stuck open.

Lost heat

Didn't mention that your car is overheating, so I will assume that your coolent is FULL and your waterpump and thermostat are working correctly, and that your car does get to normal operating temp (around 180-220 degrees F).. If the above is true, then disconnect the heater hoses from the engine and see if its clogged up with rust and/or corrosion. This spot is famous to get gummed up, restricting coolent flow through your heatercoil.

How much does it cost to change belts in the engine?

Are you referring to the timing belt? Or the timing belt and all external belts for alternator, power steering etc. Given the average charge for mechanic skills these days, together with special tools and the sheer pain of dealing with transverse mounted engines that are shoehorned into place, 1200.00 sounds about right. This is especially true if your timing belt broke and the head has to be removed to check for bent/broken valves etc. Not to mention that when a new timing belt goes on special care must be taken to assure the cam shafts are in alignment. Otherwise you get a stupid check engine light with a "cam position sensor" code.

Speedometer not working

I'd just go with traffic and don't pass anyone especially around cops-other wise take it to a Kia dealer and get an estimate before they do anything-if you'd like I could tell you if what they want to do is o k and if what they want to charge you is reasonable- cheers Denny

Fluid leaks

all that's over there is the rubber brake line and the caliper. Check all connections to lines. Check the bleeder on the caliper and makes sure the hose going to the caliper has the brass washers and the bolts tight

Where is the starter located.... the starter went

They are usually on the bottom of the front of the engine. Not exactly in the front, so go back a little bit toward the back of the engine. Your hot side battery wire leads to the starter and alternator. Find the wire that goes toward the front of the vehicle. Follow that wire and you should run into the starter.
