While i was changing my egr valve i seen a short hose that didnt go to anything on firewall apprx one inch long no place for it to attach what is this and where does it go??

if it was poking out of the firewall from inside, it may be a drain hose from the ac ductwork inside the car which allows condensate water to drain when ac is on(you see asmall puddle of water under the car in summer when parked) its normal

Will not turn over

You make need a shim put in between the starter and block. Some starters do not line up to the fly wheel properly and need shimming. They actually jam the starter up. Does your starter sound like it is binding? Any noise at all? You may also want to check your fuses. There is one fuse for ignition. IGN. I would go that route first. Good luck, cheers from Nova Scotia

Washer pump works but no washer fluid sprays

If the pump runs, but no fluid sprays, the pump could be faulty, you could have a break in the hose to the nozzles, or the pickup screen could be clogged.

Jacking

engine running too hot.check coolant level, should be 50/50 antifreeze and water.replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap.check antifreeze level in the radiator, coolant level should be just below radiator cap, add coolant to overflow jug, should alway be at the full cold mark.empty coolant overflow jug will allow air be drawed in the coolant system causing overheating.if overheating happens when coming to a long stop.could have faulty engine coolant temperature sensor or bad coolant fan fuse or relay.
