How do I change the windshield washer pump on 2002 kia optima
Windshield washer pumps are attached to the windshield washer fluid container. Remove that container and look for the washer pump. That is the only item with two wires connected to it. First remove hose connected to the washer pump and turn the washer switch on. IF water flows from the washer, your water lines are clogged, if no water flows, your washer pump maybe dead or there is no power going to the washer pump.
Try testing IF current is passing/present at the two wires by connecting as continuity tester or simply a small lamp. Switch the washer on and see if the bulb gets lit, if it does, there is power and your problem is the washer pump itself. Replace the pump.
Where is the fuel pump fuse on a 2002 kia optima located
Most Kia cars have fuse boxes that are well labelled. One is located in the engine bay. The other is in the passenger compartment, under the dashboard, either driver's side or passenger side. Check the fuel pump relay if you have confirmed that your fuel pump is not receiving +12V at the connector end. Some models have the relay as part of the main relay. Some have individual relays. These relays are located nearest to the ECU behind center console, screwed to the posts at the sides of the console.
Rear shocks and wheel bearings.
The wheel bearing is pressed in and held in with a snap ring so you would need a shop press to make that easy to change. As far as the shock goes you can remove the whole thing from the car once on a bench you can try to hold the nut with a wrench and try turning the shaft. if your using factory parts you can get those shocks 2 ways either just the shock or the whole assembly.
Master cylinder
unbolt the brake lines that join at the side of the master then the 2 bolts going to the firewall between the brake booster and master then pull it out easy as that but to put it back the same method except to bleed the master first to take out the air before installing then bleed all the brakes after installed start from the back to front with the bleeder the farthest from master cyl ex: right rear 1 left rear 2 right front 3 left front 4
Battery voltage is 14-18 V when engine is running
alternator test to see if the alternator is overcharging or wire harness problem do an easy test find the connector on the alt and while running with multimeter at battery check the voltage when unplugged and plugged sometimes by unpluging the alternator it releases the voltage meter build in the alt
Alternator removel
Typical process to remove any alternator is to first, disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Locate the alternator and remove the electrical connections ( wire harness, power wire to battery and ground wire). Then remove the bolts that attach the alternator to the engine. One bolt will be for adjustment for tightening the new alternator against the belt. Just perform the reverse to install the new alternator. Make sure that all wiring is re-attached correctly and make sure to set the adjustment so that the belt is snug. I would also suggest replacing the belt at this time. Then re-connect the negative battery terminal and you should be on your way!
