Trouble codes
I found this online for you.
Possible causes for this check engine light code include:
Blown oxygen sensor fuse
Open circuit in oxygen sensor harness
Open circuit internal to oxygen sensor
Open circuit in PCM
Short circuit in oxygen sensor harness
Short circuit internal to oxygen sensor
Short circuit internal to PCM
Diagnostic Help: To diagnose a P0061 check engine light code we will need to test out the oxygen sensor wiring and also test the circuits through the oxygen sensor itself. The internal processor circuits are a possible cause but are much less likely, so the other areas are thoroughly
tested first. See our article
Automotive Circuit Testing 101, if you need more assistance with this. If concern is determined to be intermittent, check out our article on
Intermittent Diagnosis and wiggle test connectors and wiring, attempting to duplicate concern. You may also use the "Get Help" link if you need specifications or have any other related questions. Remember to refer to an appropriate manual for specific instruction.

Dashboard light controller
If you look around you will find screws that attach the plastic to the car. Make sure the car is very very warm inside (because the plastic will be brittle) Remove all the screws ans work the plastic out far enough to access the switch.

What could cause rattle in chassis area?
Could be lo exhaust pipe hangers, stabilizer bar bushings worn out, maybe even a broken motor mount could cause the rattle. You'd feel and hear the bad motor mount when taking off fast. Could also be a broken shock.

Ac blows hot air in kia sportage
A/C BLOWS HOT. Radiator in Kia is rather small it overheats quickly. I should have checked the simplest thing first which was the radiator coolant level. I had a slow leak in radiator it was losing coolant but not very noticeably. I initially took it to have the a/c system checked all was good, they referred me to an electric repair shop but all the fuses and relays were good. I don't normally check coolant level as it is checked by dealer when oil is changed, this is a 2nd car and I don't drive it daily. Since coolant level was dropping slowly the engine would not overheat, however coolant got low enough to trigger emergency a/c compressor shut down switch to keep engine from overheating. That's why a/c would cool for 10 mins. in the morning but then shut off. Simple fix I filled the radiator and overflow tank. A/C started working perfectly again. After doing this a few times I realized the radiator had a leak which eventually had to be replaced $700.00 parts and labor. Its all good now.

My 1999 kia sportage cranks but will not start
check all fuses are good then if you have some intake cleaner or brake cleaner where the hose from the airfilter goes to the motor shoot some in the intake through the hose and does it start up this means fuel problem 80% points to fuel pump located in the rear under the back seatsthere is a little piece of carpet in a square just lift it up and remove the 4 screws this gives you access to fuel pump if it doesnt start no fire spark you have to test for spark from the coils under the intake remove cover and test if spark and fuel ok timing belt jumpped good luck

How do we install the 02 sensors in the 1999 kia sportage?
when you find the O2 sensor that you are replacing disconnect the electrical plug then using a 7/8" wrench placed around the sensor base turn the sensor counter clockwise looking at it from the top of the sensor. sometimes you have to heat the exhaust pipe around the sensor were it threads in this will help loosen the sensor. keep in mind that sometimes the threads are pulled out/stripped and you will have to run a cleaning tap to clean the threads and you install the sensor in the same place.

The heater blower motorkeeps goin out
Hi vith92633, I'm glad to help!
Normally blower motors do not go out after replacing them. The problem usually is wiring or connector issues. Try wiggling the wiring connector at the blower motor, if it comes on and goes off while wiggling it then replace the connector and wiring. If it does nothing when you wiggle the connector, then go to the "Blower Resister" and wiggle the connector the same way. If the motor kicks in and out then replace the "Resister and Wiring with the Connector". If neither of those are the problem then you could possibly need a A/C Control Head. Hope this helps and have an awesome day vith92633.

1999 sportage dies when low on fuel but still
mcdevito75 here, It could be a dirty screen on the fuel pump itself, or a weak fuel pump. Have your local shop check it out. At the very least have the shop replace the fuel filter.
