2006 xj8 passenger door open light on
Hello. It seems your Jaguar's door jamb switch is malfunctioning/defective. Door jamb switches make/break power to the interior lamps AND the 'information' panel in the instrument cluster. It's possible you got the wrong wires. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

2002 XJ8 41,000 miles. At 70 to 75 MPH wind noise
Most cars are very quite at that speed.
A seal must be out of place somewhere. You may have to tape the sun roof and door opening completely on the outside for testing.
Also, sit in the passenger seat and have someone drive while you listen at different areas of the door edges and roof areas through a leftover paper towel center tube.
You have some age on the car, just wiping down all rubber soft seal parts with a good rubber conditioner may help too.
.......and don't overlook the door glass seals.

How do i get it out of valet mode?
Look for a small button somewhere underneath typically around the edge bottom edge of your dashboard or where the flashing LED is you need to hold that in while the key is on for like 10 seconds and that will change the mode

Why does windsheld washer not work? Could it be that the tubing is clogged?
First check to see if you have enough washer fluid in the reservoir. Then check to see if the rubber tubing is kinked or pinched when you close the hood. It is possible but not likely to be plugged up, except during the winter. The spray nozzles could be plugged up, because the opening is much smaller than the tubing. Even though the pump is operating, does not mean that it is actually pumping any fluid. The pump assembly is electrical and mechanical. The electric motor runs, but the pumping mechanism could be defective. If you use compressed air to clean out the rubber tubing, make sure the rubber hose is not connected up to the pump assembly. It might get damaged from too much pressure.

My Jaguar Xj8 I had placed engine seal accidently into the oil instead of the radiator
You NEVER in---- my world ---use any sealant in any vehicle
systems-- as it is there for life
It will stop up a heater core
It will stop up a radiator
It will not or seldom be a fix for a head gasket replacement
Get the idea
Don't know what to tell you
Did it shut down from lack of oil pressure to save the motor?
How your going to get that out of the bearings, cam actuators,
oil passages,oil pump,sensors
I think your in BIG Trouble & need to ask many shops what
success they have had with that issue
I say stay out of the parts store chemical isle, with the exception
of LUBEGARD for transmission & power steering additives
Those are ALL, I Repeat ALL, I use & they actually not only work
but are necessary in those two items only (i once owned a trans shop)
I use NO other brands,no Lucus,no genie in a bottle
Just Mobil 1 Oil & Lube Guard & make the proper diagnoses
to all vehicles & do the necessary & painful repairs

My jaguar 2005 xj8 has problems starting after
I have a Mercedes Benz and the part that causes that Same problem is the crank shaft position sensor. When its faulty it may not throw an engine light for that part. Benz, BMW, jaguar share a lot of the same German engineering and bosh parts.

2004 Jaguar XJ8 won't start after going through the car wash,
It sounds like the ignition control module shorted out due to the moisture. Get yourself a spark tester from the parts store. Have someone crank the engine will you check for spark. Here is one that will only cost about $7. Once you know if you have spark we will be able to help you better.
