How do I jump start my Jaguar S-Series without
Your local walmart should have something called a "memory saver" in their display of battery chargers. Basically it plugs into your cigarette lighter and attaches to a 9v battery. Mechanics use them to keep radio stations and such in the cars memory while changing the main 12v battery. You might be able to plug this in and have enough juice to activate the power trunk release. Other than that if you had access to the engine you could connect the red jumper to the big wire coming from the alternator and the black wire to a suitable ground.

Where is the battery on my s type jaguar 2003 reg
The battery should be in the trunk. I am not very familiar with that particular model, but I am sure you can find it. There may be a cover on it, but the boxy shape should stand out. Thanks.

The radio needs to be
find a 14 year old geeky kid, give him your owners manual so he can read the instructions and set the clock. keep in touch with his whereabouts as you are going to need him at least twice a year so long as you drive a car.
give him a nice tip and he can set the all clocks you own.

My 2002 Jaguar S Type
There are a couple things that can cause the symptoms you are describing.
A leaking fuel injector or fuel regulator can cause the engine to "flood" after an overnight rest. The pressure in the fuel rails can leak into the cylinders and cause a hard start in the morning. If this is what is happening, there will probably be black smoke coming out the exhaust when you start it up and rev the engine. A malfunctioning Coolant Temperature Sensor will also do this.
A cracked head or head gasket can also cause similar symptoms. Antifreeze can seep into the cylinders overnight and when you first start it up, it will cause a severe misfire condition that will usually straighten up once the antifreeze has burned off after startup. This tends to get much worse over time and will cause white smoke & steam out the tail pipe.
Leaking valve guide seals/worn valve guides can also cause a similar symptom. This is usually also accompanied by excessive oil consumption. The valve guide seals can allow engine oil to enter the combustion chamber after sitting for a while and cause a misfire on startup. This will cause a bluish smoke from the exhaust.
If the malfunction indicator light is on, I would check that first. If it is not on, my best advise is to pay particular attention to the exhaust when you start it up in the morning to give you a clue as to what is causing it.

Over heating the electric fan is not coming on .
There is a termo switch witch turns on and off the fans, it could be faulty. First check the fuse, than directly connect fan to the battery, if fans start to spin, check the fuse and if the fuse is ok than it's probably termo switch or maybe it's damaged wire in between fuse box and the fan....

The engine light shows a fault has occurred. The recorded fault will be visible if you have the codes read. One of the most common faults is the MAF (mass air flow sensor) this sometimes shows a wrong reading and logs as a fault, The light may go back out after the engine has completed another self check - if there is no ongoing fault.
Get the codes read to be sure. .............. hope this helps

Why my jaguar s-type does not start
try spraying starting fluid in the air intake throttle body. If it starts for a few seconds, it's a fuel issue, maybe the pump. If no start, may be electrical issue.

Heat dosent work.put new thermostat
The thermostat sits in the housing with the spring down to the motor block. If you put it in upside down then the thermostat will not open also it can not read the temp of the car.

2002 s-type sport package Jaguar,
System suffered from air locks.... has bleed ports in engine compartment on hose and 'stat housing.
Another problem common to these is the Blend Door motor failing. You can listen to it move with engine off and key in RUN position...turn heater cold to hot and listen for whirring in dash area.
If engine has suffered overheating the coolant flow valve just under the brake booster melts and no longer moves.
This system can only be properly diagnosed with a Jaguar compliant
scanner. There is a on-board diagnostics that will show readout on the
cluster.
Search ''JAGUAR ETM DIAGNOSTICS '' with your browser search engine..'Google' is good.
ETM is a test mode for Jaguar cars . You will find sites and PDF tutorials and other information on the search. .

Just check your fuses to make sure all are in place (F40,F27 and Relay 8 in engine compartment) including the ones inside the dash (F92, F67). Drive it for a few days to get all the parameters in check and that light should go off. Always check your plugs and coils! They affect the performance of your tranny and bring up codes and Gear Fault messages. So make sure you keep those ignition items fresh ok.

Gearoc fault message on 2002 jaguar s type. Is
Its only expensive if you take it to the dealer. They only know to replace the tranny for at least $5K. Most of the problem with this tranny is electrical. Meaning, faulty grounds. Even a weak coil can cause this. So check the coils, replace the plugs and clean all the grounds. A diagnostic tool will greatly narrow down the problem. That should resolve your dilemma from my experience. Its common amongst jaguar owners and you'll here alot about that problem in forums. I personally have an X type with the same prob, solved the electrical and have had no problems since. I own a restoration shop so troubleshooting was a challenge but at least you won't have to replace the tranny. If it happens while your on the road and the car slows down (limp home mode), park it and turn it off. Wait a minute and restart the car. It will run normal for a while until you get home. Good luck

Jaguar S-type 2002 How to change lenguage in the
audio and communication system. The optional
"JaguarVoice" speech recognition system even allows you to change the
settings without having to touch any buttons or the LCD screen -- and in
any of five languages including English, Spanish, German, French and
Italian. The instrumentation is crisp and easy-to-read (though I never
did figure out how to reset the odometer), and the trademark maple wood
dash and leather everywhere never let you forget you're behind the wheel
of a Jaguar.
