How do I jump start my Jaguar S-Series without

Your local walmart should have something called a "memory saver" in their display of battery chargers. Basically it plugs into your cigarette lighter and attaches to a 9v battery. Mechanics use them to keep radio stations and such in the cars memory while changing the main 12v battery. You might be able to plug this in and have enough juice to activate the power trunk release. Other than that if you had access to the engine you could connect the red jumper to the big wire coming from the alternator and the black wire to a suitable ground.

I've replaced ignition coil. Engine run very

Normally the coils last a very long time...I have seen coils well over 175k miles and still work very well.I would check and make sure their is no broken wire connections going to the coils and also the make absolutely sure their is no pooling residue inside the coil terminals leading to the plugs.Oil build up from pooling can cause the coils to file out or fail over time.I always recommend also that the original plugs be used also when changed because of the severe heat level thats required by the plug to perform. If you see plugs that have brown porcelin usually that means they are overheating..I hope this helps...

My daughter broke off a

Here is a crazy possibility, but I have done this with a tiny screw dropped into a ford ignition (They use the same barrel).

First, find a bit of pipe that will fit into the barrel. The ink tube of a biro washed out might do, but it may be a bit small. I did it with a cut off car aerial being used as the tube. You might find that an automotive dealer can supply you with some kind of fuel line, or better still, a garden machinery shop that will sell you fuel line for a mower that might do. Anyway.... Find a tube, it will need to be a couple of inches longer than your key at a minimum.

Now, go get your cylinder vaccuum cleaner (or an upright with a hose connection, whatever)

Duct tape over the end of the vaccuum cleaner hose, then poke a hole in the tape for the small pipe to fit in. Now, duct tape around it to make a seal.

start the cleaner and slowly insert the tube into the lock cylinder, gently wiggling it about.

You see where this is going I hope. Say a little prayer. Good luck!

My cd changer wont play

In most cases when the CD does not play it is possible that the optical head is a suspect. Sometimes it might pick up ordinary audio CD but will not play other formats. This indicates that the optical head is weak and so there is no detection or scanning of the CD . If the optical is working the tracks will be read immediately but with no scanning the laser head can be defective.
Sometimes certain cleaner disks will not be tracked to run for cleaning as it will not be read and so will reject. Hence it is ideal to manually clean the laser head eye using a cleaning swap /cotton bud with gentle pressure on the lens eye.

2001 Jaguar S-type 4.0 L. 0357

They labeled the cylinder bank 1 (being the passenger side) and bank 2 (being the driver's side) and then from front to back 1 - 4. There shouldn't be a number 7 but if that is what is coming up, try the passenger side rear of the engine. To verify, disconnect the coil or fuel injector and see if another code emerges to verify cylinder placement. Let me knwo if you need anything else.

I have a 2002 s-type

Hi,

Thank you for contacting fixya.com.

Please check this link where you can buy the fuel injector and the parts of your car model:-

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/shop_parts/fuel_injector/jaguar/s-type.html

http://offers.autopartsboyz.com/

However you did not mention which code you were getting so that I can verify the code and give you the solution but when it is running smooth now just wait for some days until it shows any sign of malfunction.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Why does the engine fan

It would not be abnormal, so long as the fan does not come on when you switch on from cold. The fan's job is to draw air through the radiator to cool the contained liquid to a suitable working temperature. The fans sensor is activated by the temperature of the coolant. If this is a problem which worries you, try driving as gently and slowly as possible for the last mile or two of your journey. If things are normal the fan should not run on switch-off as that 'trick' will have allowed the coolant to get below the fan-kick-in temperature before you stop the engine. If your vehicle has a temperature gauge use the rteading as an indication.
