2002 jaguar s type no power
No power at all? No battery power? Or no acceleration? If no acceleration, assuming a recent tune up and no error codes, fire it up at night in the dark-outside is best with the hood/bonnet up. Look for arcing and corona discharge from ignition components and plug wires, even under plug boots. Let the engine warm up.If the engine seems to run rich, see if multiple injectors are leaking by doing a pressure leakdown test. After shutting down the engine, look for a fuel pressure test point on the fuel injection rail. If you do not have a gauge, depressing the button on the valve int he middle of that should release a spray of fuel 20 or 30 seconds after shutdown. If there is no pressure at that point, suspect the injectors. If they have more than 75,000 miles/110,000 Km, replace injectors. If fuel pressure/injectors tested okay, backflush Mass air flow sensor with contact cleaner first. If only slight improvement, check/replace throttle position sensor.
Radiator fan runs too much
You more than likely installed a high temp thermostat, which takes more heat to open than the factory one.One way to solve this is to install a lower temp thermostat. Or you could try another temperature sending unit, That should run your fan like normal again. But if it doesn't try to swap your fan relay out.

Frontend of jaguar pops and rattles
i had the same problem and wasted alot of money and time... Found it was actually the lower front control arm bushings... The weight of the car in the front causes them to go bad and make a racket up front... New ones will almost surely fix ur problem and improve the drivability of ur car... When checking those also check ur lower ball joints because they get wore with those bushings being old and sloppy
Gear stuck in park
rock the car if its on a hill it will not go into gear. have someone rock the car front and back and it will go into gears
Lunging or like misfiring at stop signs nuns fine
the spark plug o rings for the valve cover get brittle and let oil on to the plugs more often rear passanger side. this will cause it to run like that. pull plugs and see if theres any oil on them
I change the belts an d it still makes noise after
Take a spray bottle and put water in it and spray very carefully the pulleys one by one and see if the noise stops. If any particular pulley that you spray stops making noise when doing so, replace that pulley.
Check engine light is lit
Hi.
P1383 is one of Jaguar's own codes. You can find the code even in other engines (e.g. Ford). P1383 means : Variable Cam Timing Overretarded (Bank #1).
Symptoms:Rough idle, engine stalling.
Here possible causes:
Cam timing improperly set.
Continuous oil flow to the VCT piston chamber.
VCT solenoid valve stuck open.
Camshaft advance mechanism binding (VCT unit).
Solution: the part in the Variable Cam Timing listed above must be tested and repaired.

Where is the fuse box?
the Front Power Distribution Fuse Box located in the engine compartment and the Rear Power Distribution Fuse Box located in the trunk.
Hope that helps!
