No that is not Normal. There can be a lot of things that can cause the engine to run a little cooler than normal. the thermostat spring may be weak and opening to soon or it may not be closing all the way when it should.Or you may need a stronger thermostate.Even the engine coolant level can effect the heating system in the car. Check radiator coolant level Cold And over flow tank cold and replace Thermostat. Good Luck and have agood XMASS.

check all the battery cables and any wires connected to battery for corrosion and breakage. When cars are stored for long periods of time the electric wires and cables become corroded and can be cut in two, not makeing connection. ay not be able to see this with the naked eye. Can also do the wiggle test, by wiggleing the wires connected to battery while having the key in the on poition, with the emergency brake on, wheels blocked and car in park. listen and see if it makes any sound as you wiggle each cable and wire. You should hear the alarm inside the car, watch and see if the lights come on and off as you do this as well. (turn on the head lights before hand, and watch the lights...as you wiggle the wires. if they do come on and off as you do this, you may need to clean or replace that wire.
How to replace trunk stabilus
Hi,
you need to remove the mounts which hold the gas strut to the trunk.
Once these are off you can then press/or pull the small black clip out to remove it from the strut.
But when you buy the new struts for the trunk they should come with the new mounts.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need more information.
Thanks
Jason
Water pooling in the Gas cap compartment. Is
Yes.
It's probably gummed up. That happens sometimes, especially if the car has been sitting and the rubber adheres to itself around the hole.
Soak up the water with paper towels, get a strong light and look for the drain hole.
Sometimes you can just work it open with your finger.
I hope this helps.

Richard
When i turn the key to start my car, nothing
Take a look at the main battery cables and check the terminal....Clean them and then put some white petroleum jelly....Vasaline, if you have it where you are....but NOT grease....Grease contains acid and will promote oxidization on the terminals....Put just a little petroleum jelly and it'll keep the towers clean....

This souds like you have a problematic fuel pump. When they begin to fail you can see problems just like this one. Make sure you also replace the fuel filter. If it is plugged, it can destroy a fuel pump. The filter is located on the passenger side in the trunk and the pump, you should have access from inside the trunk area. Let me know if you need anything else. Really nice cars!
My battery is dead, and i cant open the trunk,is
I'm not sure if your 93 will have this, but most newer cars with batteries located outside of the engine compartment will have a positive post somewhere in the engine compartment that will let you hook up jumper cables to. You would then hook the negative to a safe engine ground.
Fuel problem with my XJ6
The gas cap is mostly used to maintain the pressure inside of the gas tank, and to keep the fuel pump from working itself to death. Sounds to me like your killed your fuel pump. Get the new gas cap, and have someone test your fuel pressure. I am pretty sure there won't be much, so replace your fuel pump if this is the case. I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Smell of petrol inside the car
I had a similar problem with a 92 when I replaced the float/level sensor in the tank. Did you recently change the pump or sensor?
Check the tightness of anything you may have loosened or opened. There is also a line that usually drains water from the depression in which the filler cap sits. If you have a bad cap and even a minor overflow or spill from a fill-up, gas could leak into the trunk and once absorbed into the carpeting it is very difficult to remove the smell from the matting. I power washed mine with solvents and water based detergents, three times and let them air dry each time, finally placing an odor absorbing chemical in the trunk to solve the problem. Good luck hope this helps.

It's tough to say... White smoke means you probably have a blown head gasket. Blue smoke indicates your running too rich. black smoke is probably oil... tell us more.
