could be something internal checking oil does not really show what si wrong with it unless trany is dropped and opened

gas leak from possible fuel pump that was not put in correctly, Tank might have a crack somewhere.fuel cap not sealing well

makes the transmission kick in sooner and the engine rev faster thus making it fast.

Posible Air leak

an Electrician should figure out the problem. take it to a automotive electrician.

if its the original it might have given out.

with more that 120K use 20-50W (really depends on where you live, weather has an impact on that. if too cold should be less, if its really hot ex:new mexico or Arizona use 20-50) if itsa 4.0 6 in line it takes 8 quarts

Could be a hose that leads to it that might have fallen off. looks like an vacume line.

pull the transmission oil pan. its right underneath the trasmission. its a pan with atleast 12 bolts if irember well

check fuses

to test the gauges, in the arm rest console (middle of car between driver and passenger) there is a fuse box. if you have the lid with the info remove the "Instrument Panel" fuse. open switch to On where normally the dash lights up. insert fuse back in. if no change could be the gauge thats bad or could be in the fuel tank the floater that sends the info to the dash what the fuel level is at.

Either... bad stereo or bad installment if its after market. if so they might tapped into the headlight circuit and when you tunr on the lights it deprives the stereo power.

replace them, too old and crystallized. check if the clutch fan is not bad.

have/has the car overheated on you before?

intake manifold or head gasket? i know head gasket need a sequential order followed by how many degrees and Lbs of pressure. if its on the intake i doubt it needs an specific torque. just try not to crack the intake manifold since its made of plastic.

check brakes,if not the issue possibly the abs pump.

does the it throw any codes? sometimes it can be caused by electrial,transmission, gearbox i really wouldnt be able to tell you an general area without more info.

hub might be loose or bearings. had something similar issue with an 2003 mustang 3.8L.

Inside the cabin, driver side by the feet shouldd be some fuses. if you dont have the little panel that tells you which fuses are which fuel pump fuse is in C8 and it takes a 25A Fuse.

pasenger side under hood fire wall, should be easy to spot. i belive its one relay
