Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1990 Jaguar
The fuel pump relay on my 1990 is located on the passenger side under the dash. You have to remove the lower interior panel to expose a number of relays there will be a color guide that tells you which relay is the one for fuel.
The color of the wires from my old and new radio dont match up!?
Jags are definitely a pure breed. The new radio most likely has writing on the wires that tell where they are to be connected to. I take that back. I just checked the wiring of an older model JVC unit and there or not listings. If your radios doesn't have writing just remember Orange(or yellow) is illumination, and it goes to the fuse block; red is power, going to the fuse block; the big black one is the ant.; the little one is the ground to the chassis. The others are speakers. Connect them to the colors they are closely resembling in your Jag. Connect the power and turn on your radio. You can reconnect the lines to the correct speaker by checking each speaker. hope this helps.
1990 4.0 jag sov lifters making noise
No real worry, try adding some Marvel oil to it or using a decent synthetic oil. Either, or both should help get any gunk out of the hydraulic part of the lifters, and neither will do any harm. Don't expect the noise to disappear instantly though, it took a long time to get that way. Don't use any heavy additive or single grade oil (like 40 weight) That will jam up the oil control rings on your pistons.

Four injectors fire and two do not on a 1990 Jaguar XJ6
The injectors really don't "fire". They squirt a very fine mist of gas that is then "fired" The injectors could have a plugged tip and not be squirting the mist of gas. A few cans of injector cleaner could be added to the gas tank which would clean the pinholes at the end of the injectors. You could also change the injectors to new ones. (Not horribly expensive) BUT if all the injectors fail all at once, the computer could be to blame by not sending the correct info to the the injectors, and no gas is being sprayed into the engine. I'd suggest getting the engine hooked up to a diagnostic computer at a reliable garage to see whats up.
