Need to replace altenator
First, make sure that even if your cars' charging system was checked while in the car, that you have the Alternator bench checked. Some vehicles have fuses and some may have separate Regulators or connectors that are bad. Then if you change the Alternator, the problem still remains. Bench checking verifies the condition of the Alternator. When you go to change the Alternator, disconnect the Negative wire of the Battery. You will find a tension pulley which tightens the drive belt will need to be moved to create slack. It helps to look at pictures for the individual parts. Look this tensioner part up and you will see slots or castings for the socket wrenches used to move this part.Keep the bolts in position, some use cardboard to insert the bolt into, because some bolts may be longer and will destroy the metal casing if replaced in the wrong position.Sometimes disconnecting the balance of the wiring will be easier with the Alternator loose, sometimes not. Usually an Alternator can be changed without removing much else, sometimes an airduct will be in the way.You can price the part you need on the internet. Some will offer discounts or will ship for you to pick up at thenstore without a shipping fee. Please rte my info.
