You may have a shorted ground wire between light and door /switch.

most dome lights are controlled or actuated by a ground supply switch rather than a power supply switch therefore the problem can be in the switch at the door jamb or the latch mechanism inside the door or perhaps a bare wire in between the light and the door contacting ground.

First look in the driver's manual or on the fuse box cover to see what this fuse controls. Then start with the item in question and visually trace the wires as far as possible. Almost certainly, you will find a a worn/defective cable touching something that goes to earth

Sounds like the lock solenoid is bad.

Sounds like Valves or Lifters. Try changing your oil using a lower viscosity.

There are four screws that hold the lens on, remove them and you have access to the bulbs.

Try spraying some lubricant into the latch and handle assembly and pull it back and forth to work it in.. You may want to remove the rear trim to get better access to the internals of the latch cable....

There is no exturnal fuel filter on a v8.It is situated inside the fuel pump housing inside the tank , it clips under the pump intake.There is a replacement part from Land Rover and it looks like a plastic gauze sock.

The water can only be getting in via a leaking grommet (where the wires enter OR the body seal OR a cracked glass. I suggest removing the entire light to inspect it. A grommet can be replaced easily and maybe silicone could seal any other leaks.

Chassis number should be at bottom left of windscreen

Should be on the deiver side of the dash atthe bottom viewed from outside the windshield. Also there should be a metal tag under the hood atthe front of the engine bay with it on it.

try taking to where you got it?

It changes the shift points.
