Air suspension drops on one side
Common problem. You have a slow leak. Just like a tire, the solution is to look for it, with a spray bottle of soapy water. All the lines, fitting, valves, etc., are suspect. The actual chambers are the only expensive parts. There are leak stop liquids you can try?
Discovery has started to drop on wheels at the back
Hi,
Well , Your rig has an air ride suspension. The fix may be simple. A loose air line. Expensive , The compressor, the air bags or control valve.
There is available an after-market non air suspension kit.
Sorry ---- other than the loose air lines it get's spendy. I do not know the prices.

There are drain holes in the bottom of the door that may be clogged. Open the door and look up at the bottom for hole, which may be covered with rubber flaps. Also if the door was serviced the mechanic may not have reinstalled the inner rain shield correctly. If this car uses a Bosch ABS system, there is a fix. These units burnout a circuit internally. Search the web or Ebay for ABS module failure.
I over heated my 03 4.6L discovery now water is
How long did you drive after it overheated? Water Pump maybe bad and leaking from weep hole, misfire may be due to heat damage, wires etc, but I would get a second opinion before saying the cylinder wall is cracked. Unless you really overheated and drove for a while, you should not have done that much damage.
Parked my land rover 2003, went back in 2 hours
sounds like
- your key has been damaged
- or locking pin the the steering lock meck has jammed or
- the mech at the back of the lock with the wires has jamme
, have you a spare key ? if still has the fault try forcing the wheel left and right while trying key see if that frees it, remove the wire connector from back of lock, try again
if not then the barrel may be at fault the it will need cutting off there are 2 "shear bolts" which need cutting in to and then unscrewing to release the barrel , best doing all this with battery disconnected
There is a gear symbol
This warning light lets you know that there has been some sort of problem in the transmission or shifting area. The "M" lets you know that the Disco is in "Limp" mode so as to prevent any damage. This light is normally accompanied by the Disco only allowing you to be in Park, Reverse or 3rd gear.
To fix/remove this warning light..... Disconect the battery and turn the ignition key to remove any remaining stored power. Leave the Disco like this for at least 20 minutes. This will reset all systems and remove the light.
Hope this helps.....
Just changed the battery and I have the code to
I have a 2002 but my manual is for a 2001. It says to press the pre-set button 1 and then press either the up or down tuning button (on each side of the "MAN" button) until it prompts you to enter the code. But it did nothing. What is the sequence to get it to the point where I can enter the code?
Disco II Car Alarm goes of in the middle of the night
Could be a problem with the sensor, as their is a few sensors, door(s), hood, depending on he car a few others. One of the sensors could be going bad and is super sensetive or intermitten and even if say a gust of wind hits the wire, it'll go off. Im saying it's a bad sensor.
I NEED TO CHANGE THE FRONT OXIGEN SENSOR IN MY
These vehicles are very sensitive to having the exact make when it comes to parts. Many of the aftermarket parts will only create more problems and probably not work. I would certainly get a sensor from the dealership. I have never seen another make of cars be so specific to having the correct parts.
