Code for land rover radio 2003 v8

If you're looking for a radio code, all you have to do is call the service department at your local land rover dealer and give them the VIN. If it is a factory radio, it will require 4 digits. They should do this at NO charge. You can also call Land Rover corporate for this information too. If it is a navigation system, there is usually a sticker in the glove box and the last 5 digits of the serial number on that sticker are the radio code.

Central locking not working on drivers and passenger door

I am having a similar problem with left rear door. I replaced the lock actuator, but it was still not working properly. The trick is getting the door handle in the right spot. The door handle is attached by a cable, and over time the cable is stretched. I used a rubber stopper behind the handle to get it into the exact right position and it worked perfectly.

How do you change the

Some of these engines use coil packs on top of the spark plug itself. No maintenance required. The other engine, follow the wire and remove one at a time so we don't have to worry about disturbing the firing order. If they are hard to remove from the cap and the plug, simply twist the end until you feel it break loose and pull. The following instructions are for the coil pack ( or DIS ) ignition system and with spark plugs. If you are not changing the plugs, disregard that part of the instructions:

Inspection

  1. Inspect the electrodes and ceramic insulator.
  2. Burned or worn electrodes may be caused by:

Advanced ignition timing Loose spark plug Plug heat range too hot Insufficient cooling
  3. Fouled plug may be caused by:

Retarded ignition timing Oil in combustion chamber Incorrect spark plug gap Plug heat range too cold Excessive idling/low speed running Clogged air cleaner element Deteriorated ignition coils

Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine acoustic cover.
  3. For RH bank plugs only, perform the following:
    1. Release locking clips and disconnect multiplugs from plug top coils.
    2. Remove 6 bolts securing plug top coils to RH camshaft cover and remove coils.

Fig. On the right side bank, release the locking clip and detach the connector from the plug top coils. Unfasten the mounting bolts, then remove the coils

  4. For LH bank plugs, tag, then disconnect the wires from the spark plugs.
  5. Using a 16mm plug socket, remove spark plugs from both cylinder heads.

To install:

  1. Set gap of each new spark plug to 1.00 mm.
  2. Install the spark plugs and tighten to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  3. For the LH bank, connect the leads.
  4. For the RH bank, perform the following:
    1. Fit plug top coils to spark plugs.
    2. Fit bolts securing plug top coils to RH camshaft cover and tighten to 6.5 ft. lbs. (9 Nm).
    3. Connect multiplugs to plug top coils and secure with locking clips.

  5. Install the engine acoustic cover.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.

WARNING Do not cross-thread the spark plugs when installing them, or you may damage the cylinder head, causing expensive repairs. Use only the proper grade and type of spark plugs, to avoid misfiring problems and/or engine overheating.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Please do check the coolant reservoir if it sits on the right level. Overfilling the coolant reservoir can cause a coolant overflow when the engine operates on higher temperature. Please do fill it and make sure that it sits on the right level.

Hope you find this helpful and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
